The Gain of Leadership

On November 17, 2018, in Leadership GT-Accent, by Neculai Fantanaru

The most important creation of any man is the dream of a life that has a future, linked to a memory that will forever appreciate it.

Around the time of the 6th grade I have seen the film Léon: The Professional (1994). This was when I learned the first lesson of leadership. You need a whole army of special forces to fight against one PROFESSIONAL. But only the soul of a child will be able to face his power and ease his way.

Mathilda, this soul full of sorrow and yet full of manhood, this inventive power of new rules and challenges, what aspirations hide behind the impetuous vengeance that raises all its senses, imagination and freedom to choose? What does this spirit of adrenaline and excitement recognize when it becomes a direct participant in the events Léon approaches through cold thinking, without God?

The obsession that reverberates into the consciousness of this character corresponds to a sentimental value, such as friendship. But it also corresponds to an acute drama, full of vivid detail, colored somberly and exact, which puts face to face the excitement of a soul impressed by the white from black, the beautiful from the ugly, with the whirl of all kinds of choices and the responsibilities that flow from them.

In moments of lucidity, Mathilda recognizes the failure of a favorable destiny, which she eludes because of the meaning she gives to a reality full of contrasts: "Is life always this hard, or is it just when you’re a kid?" It does not retreat into the securing space of utopia, as if it were an observer of artifacts articulated in fiction and poetry but into the mystery of a psychological labyrinth from which you can only come out when you make a final decision, the great challenge of suffering is found in a kind of testimony of the "underground man".

Life can best be judged from a man’s perspective influenced by an intense attraction, by his youthful ideal, even if his youth has been shaken by the limitations of a world that has not opened the fullness of communion with God.

On the other hand, Léon becomes unstable when he is deep in the darkness of rules. And this fortress is hard to conquer, a real fighting weapon without a permit in front of civic and moral laws… what does he regret when faced with the magnificence of a power other than the physical, the magnitude of the healing possibilities of any emotional wound? What is he remorseful of without guilt?

If we were to read Leon’s thoughts, directly associated with the painter’s ability to immortalize a unique moment in man’s life, to block in time what is pregnant in front of him, a sensation, a fact, a state of mind, we would learn:

I can only regret that I wanted to give up the mediocrity of an unbearable life. I am not remorseful for killing in cold blood, but I am remorseful that I have not experienced through and for others what I had to experience through and for myself. Is Mathilda a miracle that I should keep whole, righteous, or does she deserve to be loved by me as an inner scepter that ennobles me and distinguishes me from the rest of the world?

"You’re not going to lose me. You’ve given me a taste for life. I want you to be happy. I want to sleep in a bed, have roots. And you’ll never be alone again, Mathilda."

Leadership: Do you recognize the failure of a destiny above yourself, having that psychological legitimacy of the loser who feels superior simply because he overcomes his passions through the supportability of a wound healing in a tear?

What would have happened to Léon’s human totality if his inner essence had not been influenced by that "completely different" of a new point of orientation? How much would he have pressed for a mediocre, gray life that he would live in the wilderness, if he had not had the energy to give up that old way of thinking? Would he still struggle for the freedom to be in the service of another, to live the passion of serving for the sake of a more sublime salvation than the healing of an incurable disease?

Remorse is the beginning of a path you take with the fear of not being prepared for the change of significance you give to life. If the object or cause of deep-seated anxiety is a psychic phenomenon at the level of self-consciousness, then the orientation you make during your journey caused by sensations, emotions and perceptions may have the character of a subjective confession that absolves you of any fault, freeing yourself from the accumulated tensions.

When you have a desert full of bramble before you, as a psychic fact conditioned by the lack of a motivation of surpassing yourself, you end up with a predetermined destiny, one that cannot be changed. You feel like a hostage kept in a weak predisposition towards dreaming, bound by a manifest state of vulnerability to a threat called "self-unbearability."

Here, life gains repetitive accents for a particular situation that you cannot give an answer to, but it especially gains accents of indignation over the spiritual decisions that could have taken you in an advantageous direction.

Léon is a peculiar psychological phenomenon, an exciting story of a romantic aura destiny, a warm praise for her gentleness and the patience to resist the forgetfulness of the syndrome of agitated life.

He escapes from the desolate mediocrity so temporally contorted and confesses his secretly lived life through the eyes of a child growing up in the middle arid of his typology. In an imaginary conversation with this character full of contradictions, whose vitality is given by all his dangerous actions, we could find out about the possibility of leaving a tough, cold-blooded condition, to the advantage of an image that impresses by its similarity to the guardian heaven, the supreme step of existence in the good that once touched by the soul can no longer be forsaken.

Leadership: Is your creation individualized primarily through the power to incorporate distinct meanings into ordinary life, promoting an improvement in the performance of being someone else to whom you really are?

It would be said that the man built by the most serious sins, covered with the spider web of criminality, whose invisible – but powerful – threads immobilize his prey with only one sting of decency and modesty, wants to escape from this tumultuous existence with the help of forgotten promises and unfulfilled dreams, through a secret gate called: gentleness, sensitivity, purity of childhood.

In the end, man’s creation (good or bad) is the dream of a life that has a future, linked to a memory that will forever appreciate it as an impeccable polished diamond that pulses energy and harmony through its glow.

A treatable soul wound, a single form of manifestation of pure consciousness, a tear full of compassion flowing on the cheek full of remorse of this genuine Hitman, pours into a pure spiritual essence: "You know, about my money – maybe I could give a little to someone, you know, to help out."

This voice of his inner feelings does not make us think of a bored resignation of a failed man, of sadness without a horizon, of one who plunges into an existence without a beginning and without cause. But urges us to heed a clean prayer, a prayer of struggle against passions: "Lord. Harness my will and teach me to pray, to hope, to believe, to endure, to love and to forgive."

The leitmotif of his life is no longer the desert, the sign of the prophecy in the wilderness, but the fear of not being the work of a cobra tamer, of this Mathilda who shines exactly from the venom of his deaf assassin’s activity. Suddenly, the beast in him no longer shows its fangs, the snake can be amiable, compromising, a fun, honorable, altruistic lover. Here is what it means to know love: to let yourself be taken by the wave of a sense that knows the comfort of a sweet gratitude, but does not yet know the hotness of dramatic troubles.

Well-known entrepreneur E. Joseph Cossman made the observation: "Our business in life is not to get ahead of others, but to get ahead of ourselves."

How can you surpass yourself? Trying to give the shape of thoughts that hit you at any moment, like the blacksmith who knocks the iron red from the fire. Give them a certain meaning, mobilizing to capitalize on those parts of yourself that are latent. Every moment, be aware of who you really are !

Leadership is the feeling you experience when someone answers your prayers of repentance with proper force and in an appropriate time: "You are better than you feel you can be."

The Gain Of Leadership is achieved with your day-to-day transformation, is due to the improvements that every decisive transition period of your life brings. And this gain can go to waste if you do not create an "automatic fire-fighting system" that provides space and the ability to dodge any rigid thinking patterns. The gain of Leadership promotes improving the performance of being someone else to whom you really are.

Establish a way of "being" that regulates your content of interest: "The Man in You" – Your Ego, which, as we have seen, cannot easily be expressed in any kind of situation, but also a mechanism for responding to social pressures may lose its coordinates through isolation.

Leadership is exercised permanently on the well-personalized territory of man, on his dynamic destiny, whose evolutionary curve originates in the impulse to choose, to love. Let’s believe and dream !
