The Law Of The Whole Reduced To One

Realizing that you are part of a larger whole can give you a sense of connection with something bigger than yourself.

Every time I arrive at the seaside, the sensation is the same: I experience the intense feeling of "new beginning", ShaUrtho, and the strange sensation of unreality, a detachment from things and a withdrawal into a supposed mystical communion with the divinity, that something flows as if from me, starting from the chest and reaching the limbs, is one that I have not experienced in any other context. With certainty, every detail that sight can encompass is the work of God, before I give it a special meaning through drawing or painting.

Only because of the perspective in the real plane of diversity in unity, taking into account all that is necessary for the sublime to manifest itself as "una belleza que no existe en proporciones, sino en correspondence con el alma y su resonance con el universo", the artist succeeds to give exclusively aesthetic meaning to the image with which his eye broadens its horizon. Painting is essentially the art of observing, enjoying the right moment, capturing a moment in a split second. With every single thing your sight captures, with every experience you have in every memory, you paint your own canvas of reality, thought by thought, choice by choice.

The steps with which I tread the sand, the steps with which I leave behind a sign of my presence, a story about myself, the imprint of an ephemeral work of art on the sand of the coast, where the sea and the sun become muse and inspiration, testify to my journey through time and space. They shape my destiny through a kind of Inthensiodios Aspras, a moment that will never return, and weave the story of my life in the same way that the painter interprets the world around him, full of sensitivity and compassion, as a way to see beauty in the world, even in the most unexpected places.

Leadership: How is the inner struggle that you have to overcome, in order to highlight the connection between the soul and its image on the outside, reflected?

In the movie "Swimming Upstream" that I recently re-watched, there was a scene where Tony Fingleton is swimming alone in the pool after an altercation with his father. This scene is deeply symbolic and reflects Tony's desire to escape the harsh reality of his life. Water is a refuge for Tony, a place where he can retreat and feel free, unconstrained by his problems. And I think that from an artistic point of view this scene, shot in a way that accentuates Tony's loneliness and isolation, also expresses the essence of his existence through the beauty and purity of water, true sources of renewal at the level of self. They help him connect with the world around him and find meaning in life.

The same thing happens to me when I'm at the seaside: the sea is not only a splendid summer landscape, full of infinite blue, where the sky embraces the depths, but it becomes a space of reflection and introspection, a space of identity between the soul and its reflections in the outer world, where every thought and emotion meets the pure essence of my being. The waves of the sea, like Tony's thoughts and emotions, come and go, bringing with them memories, hopes and dreams, making the rendering of a painting accentuated by the waves crashing against the swimmer's body, symbolizing the interaction between man and nature, but also the introspective search for its essence.

Art is like waves, sometimes strong and scary, sometimes delicate and soothing.

Just as Tony finds peace in the pool, I find it in the vastness of the sea, where every wave seems to whisper unheard stories to me, peace that calms the soul and mind, contrasting with the hustle and bustle of everyday life, which gives me a new perspective on life. Tony is an artist who experiences through feeling and thinking, not necessarily through will and ambition, introspection and the labyrinth of human interiority as captured in a painting like "The growing wave in Pourville" by Claude Monet, in the contrast between cold colors and warm ones. The wave is a strong and unpredictable force, and the sky is calm and clear, a contrast that creates a visual tension amplified by the fact that the wave is closer to the viewer than the sky.

Leadership: Can appreciating the present and the idea that you are part of a greater whole enhance your connection with yourself and give you a sense of a higher meaning of existence?

An artist may use the image of a swirling sea to represent a period of inner turmoil. In terms of the scene in the film, water was Tony's tool of expression, and swimming was his creative process. Man must be calm even when the sea is rough. He painted his own canvas of memories and emotions, coloring that moment of internalization with unique shades of life, namely: ephemerality, or the contrast between calm and storm, freedom and connection with nature. Indeed, waves come and go, each unique in form and movement. Therefore, this constant flow creates the idea of transience and renewal.

Appreciating the present is but a revision of the idea of the fleeting moment, part of a greater whole, for each wave, though fleeting, contributes to the rhythm and essence of the sea as a whole. Or the idea of being part of a greater whole, resonating with the image reflected by a deep sensation, mainly refers to the feeling of connection with something greater than ourselves, such as the universe or the life force of nature. This may denote a clear spiritual value, a spiritual kinship with the Florentine artists of the early Renaissance who were guided by the idea of "homo universalis", which is basically man perceived as a microcosm in relation to the macrocosm, seeing in man a reflection of the universe and divinity.

As for me, about the sea, about the waves and about swimming, about the sun that illuminates my moments of introspection, towards the deepening of the connection with myself, I can say that I am part of an image that is not imprisoned in the ephemeral, but free in eternity. The fact that the overall image I created is related to the artistic area, giving it a special value as an instrument of expression and communication of the idea of "transcendence and interconnection with nature", underlines the power of my art to evoke and to communicate transformations of the soul in the context of a reaction to external challenges and stimuli. Whether it's major life events, meaningful encounters, or simple everyday moments, they can trigger a series of inner changes.

As an expression of self-improvement aspirations, leadership focuses on those moments of internalization that catalyze personal growth in the context of a reaction to external challenges and stimuli.

Art, in its many forms, can capture these moments of introspection and response, reflecting the struggles, joys, and revelations that come with them. In this way, art provides us with a mirror in which we can see our own reactions and thus better understand the emotional and spiritual complexity of the human experience. Finally, when the last brush is put down and the last color dries on the canvas, there remains an unexpected cry rising to us - a complete work of art, a story told in color and form, a vast chapter in the evolution of the human spirit: exploration and self-knowledge.

The Law Of The Whole Narrowed To One refers to man's ability to connect to the vitality of nature by harmonizing with his inner self, where introspection becomes the bridge between individual consciousness and the universality of existence.
