Beyond What Can Be Seen
When you focus on ascension, the gaze becomes more than a sense – it becomes a bridge to the mysterious force within. Look deeply into the challenge and you will see the essence.
Once again I was surprised by the performance of my sister, Oana Fântânaru, at the "Bucovina Ultra Rocks" mountain half-marathon. Trying to remember her journey, I reach the critical moment when she faced her own helplessness and was on the verge of giving up. However, he found the inner strength to keep going, a moment that changed his perspective on effort and success. Running is not only about reaching the highest peak, but also about overcoming physical and mental obstacles, about understanding the road itself - a road that, once traveled, reveals fragments of beauty that would otherwise have remained hidden.
As Oana advanced along the winding paths, she seemed to be tempted by the varied topography of the mountain, always drawn by the desire to reach beyond what can be seen, where each peak is not just a destination, but a crossroads in the journey his inner self. In those moments of athletic ecstasy, the boundaries between self and mountain dissolve, allowing an expanded consciousness (embracing all of creation) to explode into pure freedom, reaching new levels of perception. Is there any runner who doesn't feel drawn to the same call to explore the heights, but also their own limitations?
Obviously, his creation is an art of movement, a kind of dialogue between body and spirit. Creation becomes visible to the eyes when the whole being is involved in the dialogue between physical effort and inner reflection. In the end, the rationalism with which she analyzes her every step is not a limitation, but a gateway to a higher understanding of her own potential. Every detail of the race, from the topography of the terrain to the heartbeat, becomes a piece in a puzzle of the universal connection, of the synergy between man and nature, the final image of which reveals the true nature of his existence. A look that sees beyond appearances is an act of deep understanding of his inner struggle and how the mountain reflects his efforts.
When your eyes fix on a challenging goal, what follows is the revelation of the balance between physical and inner strength?
The more Oana advances on the increasingly steep mountain trails, the more her spiritual equilibrium point shifts towards the intense experiences of the peaks, risking to turn each climb into a revelation of self. This seems to refer to a fragment of a principle of Patrick Drouot:
"If we draw a simple line of a certain length and we want to divide it into two asymmetrical parts, that is, we want to mark its balance point, then obviously we have to aim exactly at its middle. But the situation changes completely if the line is not uniform, but becomes wider towards one of the ends, becoming a flat figure. In this case, the symmetrical point, the balance axis, will not fall in the middle, but will move towards the wider end the width of this end, the closer the point of balance will be to it. The explanation is easy: even at a glance we feel that more weight is pressing on the wider part, that is, more force, to which we must fatally oppose a length larger on the opposite side."
When one side becomes heavier, the balance shifts towards it. Like the line that widens toward an end, described by Drouot, my sister's spiritual journey finds its equilibrium point closer and closer to intense peak experiences. Each step on the steep paths becomes a greater spiritual "weight", requiring a greater "length" of reflection and understanding to maintain inner balance.
Does overcoming the inner barriers reflected in the physical obstacles encountered along the way give you the opportunity to see the perception of nature's call as a resonance with your limitless creative potential?
Or in this varied topography of the mountain, Oana discovered that the most intense physical challenges, the highest peaks and the steepest slopes become the points of maximum spiritual revelation. Here, at the "wider end" of her experience, she attained that "Astralis Xenorion Helivox," a perfect alignment between physical exertion and spiritual enlightenment. Each obstacle thus became not just an athletic challenge, but an opportunity for inner growth, constantly shifting the point of spiritual balance to new heights of understanding oneself and one's place in a vast universe.
This line becomes a metaphor for the path that Oana has traveled. Just as the wider end of a line attracts the axis of balance, the mountain draws its runner with irresistible force, demanding an inner balance to match. As the difficulties increase, the runner's "balance point" shifts from ordinary comfort to that space in his soul where true potential and divine endurance are discovered.
In art, this translates into the following: creation is a continuous escalation of one's own limits, as each masterpiece, each physical, emotional or mental experience, depicted with realistic means, moves the artist's balance point to new heights of expression and understanding of self.
Does your eye contact with the obstacle become a symbol of confronting your own limits head-on and overcoming them as you confront the doubts that weaken your resolve?
Each steep trail tests your inner vision. And the runner's eyes are usually drawn to the hidden difficulty of the mountain. Here, then, the mountain, like the asymmetric line, has a metaphorical gravity. The "wider" part, that is, that area of intense difficulty (steep trails, thin air, unstable rocks) becomes the point where the runner focuses his energy, because that's essentially where the real revelation lies. The more difficult the challenges become, the deeper he discovers a mysterious force within him, his inner balance swinging closer and closer to that mysterious and revelatory call of the mountain.
Ultimately, this journey toward balance is not only a physical effort to maintain stability on steep terrain, but also a search for a spiritual center—that crossroads where the outer and inner mountains meet, revealing the true nature of one's being. As the wider end of a geometric line increases in size, the closer the balance point approaches this intensity zone. Likewise, as the mountain becomes more imposing and the challenges of the mountain trail more difficult, the runner's inner calling intensifies, turning each step into a revelation of her own balance.
In conclusion, the constant temptation of the mountain is not just an external call to Oana, but a deep resonance with her own divine nature. Each competition thus becomes a ritual of self-initiation into one's own unlimited potential, where the physical obstacles are only reflections of the inner barriers to be overcome.
And you, reader, what inner mountains are you climbing in your own spiritual odyssey? How do you turn every mountain terrain challenge into an opportunity for spiritual growth, seeing beyond the physical obstacle to the lesson that nature has to offer?
The authenticity of an inspirational vision is reflected in a leader's ability to perceive the call of nature as a resonance with his creative spirit, capable of transforming natural experiences into visual and emotional expressions.
Beyond what can be seen lies inner strength, facing a test of will and endurance. I say this because trials are what define us, despite any impediment, taking the attitude of an explorer who seeks meaning beyond limits. And regarding the art that Oana showed, I can say only one thing: creation becomes visible to the eyes when her entire being is involved in the dialogue between physical effort and inner reflection.
To create is to shape physical experiences into forms that convey the complexity of the synergy between human existence and the natural world.
