Only The Last Stroke Of The Brush Matters
Look for the presence of what bothered you inside first, and in doing so your mind will be filled with confidence.
Honoré de Balzac wrote a short story entitled "Le Chef - d'œuvre inconnu". I will summarize this story according to the wikipedia website:
The yet not-so-famous young painter Nicolas Poussin visits the Flemish painter Frans Pourbus in his studio. He is accompanied by the old master Frenhofer, who comments carefully on the painting that Porbus has just finished. The painting is of Mary of Egypt, and while Frenhofer praises it, he suggests that the work seems unfinished. With a few light brushstrokes, Frenhofer transforms Porbus’ painting so that the Egyptian Mary seems to come to life before their eyes.
Although Frenhofer mastered a special technique, he admits that he failed to find a suitable model for his own masterpiece, which depicts a beautiful courtesan named Catherine Lescault, better known as La Belle Noiseuse. He worked for ten years on this future masterpiece that no one had yet seen. Poussin offers his own girlfriend, Gillette, as a model of inspiration. In turn, Gillette is so beautiful that Frenhofer is encouraged to finish his project quickly. Poussin and Porbus come to admire the painting, but all they can see is part of a leg that has been lost in a whirlwind of colors. Their disappointment drives Frenhofer insane, and he destroys the painting and dies that night.
Frenhofer had been more and more torn by his inability to reach his goal because of the discovery he had made, namely that there was no outline, only oscillating shades.
Can the importance you give to your own impressions of how you might feel special decide that intensity of emotion that you consider inaccessible to the public and that you feel at the level of consciousness?
It is not easy to stay true to the beneficial values, one hundred percent of the time you give to your own needs and desires, especially when you know that you have to give up old beliefs, old patterns of thinking. Artists who approach everything through the prism of discoveries obtained from the fruits of their own work, with reference to what they leave behind, are driven by values such as the power to be heard, recognition (the claim to be admired) and emotion (that emotion of artistic grace). Nothing can change these values for them except failure, regret for not having lived up to their expectations and, above all, for living up to other people’s expectations.
I found a quote this way of the French writer Honore de Balzac: "Only the last stroke of the brush matters."
By this, he also gives the tone in terms of management of that final needful feature of the man aspiring to achieve excellence in leadership. At the head of our "reinvention" movement, adjusting and positioning of oneself (with one's needs and aspirations, but also with one's natural limitations) in the spotlight, stands one precious quality: acceptance.
It means to accept your contribution to the critical situations that alter your fundamental nature, being able to reach even self-sabotage. This quality, "acceptance", is the leading place among the most enduring cornerstones of leadership. Basically, acceptance means acknowledging your imperfection when you are about to glorify your glory. It also means finding yourself in a work that is not necessarily a masterpiece, but a modest composition that leaves much to be desired.
The consciousness you rely on to form a strong personality is directly proportional to the disappointment you experience at the level of a finding that reflects an indisputable reality.
What if we train more "talents", more "geniuses" in the production of leadership without the need for harrowing efforts to maximize our own resources?
The temptation to assimilate an “industrial” leadership and everything that happens in the industry with leadership, we can easily notice, sometimes harder, but always defining, in the way we relate to the discovery we make in a certain field and in the way discovery can affect good mood, self-esteem, the image of the individual in the middle of the world.
Leadership is closely related to the discovery you make of yourself in a context where the importance of your work increases significantly. But the importance of your work does not always determine what needs to happen for your role to diminish or amplify. Consciousness must also accept its subordination to another consciousness, and this seems shameful and unforgivable to me.
In art, the reality you surround yourself with must be congruent with the level of interiority you experience as a kind of spiritual inspiration meant to enrich the dialogue between being superior and feeling the work of your own personality.
Only the last stroke of the brush matters when you want to impose a certain mood that, in many respects, can make you feel superior in terms of professionalism and quality of your work. When you set yourself a goal, such as achieving a lasting masterpiece, you need to maintain a good state of well-being for a winner, a joyful state that, in any way you look at, allows you to build a new personality around the Self.
A special artist is a spiritual personality who remains true to their values at all times of life.
