The rise of one extreme paves the way for the opposite, enveloping the landscape in the echo of the balance sought between physical effort and the limits of the self.

Oana Fântânaru is more than a sister to me – she is a model of victory that I admire unconditionally. Such a mountain runner makes her way through the rough ridges, and with each step she simultaneously raises and deepens the imprint of a personal journey. There is a kind of alchemy of transformation here too. As she reaches her physical limit, a subtle world of complementary oppositions opens up, a balance between vulnerability and strength – each corner of the rock is a mirror in which a part of herself is read, enigmatically. And her art, the gift of losing herself in order to find herself in running, is part of this alchemy of becoming, where each step is a piece of herself left behind and simultaneously gained.

In fact, the ascent of a position means, paradoxically, the conquest of a retreat into one's own inner space, where everything is ordered in a rhythm perfectly synchronized with nature, and where every proportion of the being becomes clearly demarcated. For her, every mountain, every ridge, every slope redefines the map of a "home" without limits, but anchored by a center – that unseen, mysterious place, from which springs the power to overcome any obstacle. And with every meter gained in front of the other competitors, Oana creates an imaginary territory for herself, enveloped in the silence of complete confidence in her own path, as if the earth itself were breathing for her, amplifying her ascent.

How can overcoming physical limits lead to the discovery of subtle dimensions of the self, by relating to the balance between vulnerability and strength?

I have always admired my sister for her devotion to the primal force of nature. I have chosen to see her as an artist of endless silence. In the vicinity of the mountain, personal space expands in an almost mystical way, integrating nature into the inner self, redefining the boundaries of one's own being. Every artist is, after all, a factor in the transfiguration of the world through the gaze. Therefore, I do not believe that there is a deeper comparison than between one's own space, recién conquistada, and the majesty of the mountains. My opinion is that every climb and every valley reverberates, sculpting in man a new sense of sovereignty.

The ascent reveals the extremes of her nature, but also its antinomies. An artist always oscillates – embracing the abyss with the same zeal and fear, trusting in the generative chaos, but opposing it at the same time. In the art of running, as in painting, a kind of creative asceticism is needed, "Otissimel Inoisusthyn", a controlled sacrifice, in which you insist through submission. Often, climbing the mountain, Oana realizes that the rise of one extreme inevitably evokes the reflex of the other – like an inverted echo of the balance between the limits of the self. This means that art is precisely this boiling point of opposites.

Moreover, art is an extension of the silence in matter. Oana begins each step on the mountain paths as if in a personal ritual. Each rock and each edge becomes a living measure of her own position in the world. In the physical ascent, another kind of climb takes shape – that of the inner space. And here, art acquires hieratic dimensions. As it advances, it delimits its own territory "Acolaiesum Elfinanrop", a space in which proportions become not only visual landmarks, but the boundaries of an inner freedom. The higher I rise, the clearer the contours of that intimate neighborhood become, in which I can encompass the spectacularity of each glance thrown back, on the path traveled. Ultimately, art is a revelation of one's own being.

Can your physical ascension become the catalyst for spiritual growth, manifesting in relationship to the discovery of a "home" without limits?

Often, as Oana runs up the steep slopes of the mountain, it seems that the space around her redefines itself and the boundaries expand, as in a painting that stretches its edges to infinity. The placement of each carefully calculated step becomes a personal work of art – a moving sculpture, shaped by will and patience. Thus, the mountain becomes a silent mentor, a guide that does not budge, but that commands respect through every corner and shadow. It was only in this game of extremes – of inner descent and physical elevation, that Oana learned that every conquered peak hides within itself un abismo que exige ser explorado.

I often wonder: how does the mountain measure the essence of those who cross it? It's as if every climb corresponds to an invisible limit – a threshold that must be crossed in order to leave behind not only the path, but also the imprint of every difficult thought, of every fear. From this point of view, I think my sister would have only one thing to say: "True victory is not over the mountain, but over one's own limits."And this is a reason that only an artist of one's own life can understand, beyond the appearances of a simple sports competition.

The rise to leadership becomes a form of creative retreat into inner space, articulated with deep synchronization with nature, when power is guided by authenticity and inner balance.

The sky you carry behind you symbolizes the expanse of ideals and deep aspirations – hence that silent pressure that pushes you forward, making every step a statement of courage and authenticity. I say this in the context of my sister, Oana Fântânaru, who managed to conquer almost all of Romania's mountains in running, climbing with an unstoppable will, guided by the motto: "It doesn't matter how far the peak is, but how close you are to yourself."
