The Stigma Of Those Destined For Doom (I)
Take a firm stand against your own weaknesses, without straying from the constraints of your evolutionary line.
Wherever we follow Anton Chigurh, we find him as if wrapped by a demonic cloak of helplessness, supporting his existence on the feeling of belonging to a world increasingly alien to his. Living in isolation, without human interaction, made slave of his own weaknesses, he continues to let loose his irrepressible anger.
Wherever Chigurh is, we can be almost certain that somebody is marked with the blood-colored red of death. The ambition of this ruthless assassin gushes forth through all the pores of his skin. Cruel and unpredictable, the evil venom pulsates in his veins, and when you least expect it, flares and splashes anyone who comes its way.
Eradication, disengagement from the ruthless demon, hanging like a foreign body from all that individualizes it becomes absolutely necessary, but impossible. He will continue a long while its series of "notes", which became his reason to be.
The man apparently common, but unusual, this unaspicious dreadful sphinx that stretches its mysterious wings in everyday life abandoned itself, without right of reply, to its immeasurable momentum to more and more misleading peaks.
He produces endless torment to those around him. And he continues to indulge himself in the creation of a new form of existence under the weight of the cruelty shell gushed out from the man turned into a beast. A disconnect from reality, a stage that paves the way for a new transformation: "Pacem în obscuritas invenio ! ". *
Do you support your existence in the shadow of your sense of belonging to a world that is more and more foreign to you in comparison to a subtle form to protect yourself from an embarrassing condition?
Do you abandon yourself to the immeasurable impetus to misleading peaks? Can you crush that "demon" inside you, attached like a foreign body to everything that individualizes you? Do you indulge yourself in the creation of a new form of existence that discredits or undermines the development of relations? What is the engine that renews the reason of your existence?
To accomplish something related to leadership, not only skill and cleverness in shaping or building a definite form of value are necessary (the skill to make right choices at all times), but also what we might call "The Whole of Man", with all that it represents. Everything that comprehends him, with all that is unsoundable and mysterious in him, with his inner universe.
Man is the response entity to the circumstances of a reality that sometimes exceeds his ability to understand it, supporting his existence in the shadow of a sense of belonging to a world increasingly foreign to his. It is distinguished by a subtle form of being protected from an embarrassing condition, that of the negative side of the world, when it stops from thinking of everything in terms of: "no matter what they do they bear no condemnation."
The work of leadership is therefore not so much a resonant victory, an extraordinary achievementof a man with vocation and talent in a particular area, but rather a regulation of his character in the power of reason to create interpersonal rules of conduct for the purposes of joint action, by the appropriate correlation of its dominant characteristics with the requirements posed by its process of evolution.
But the work of leadership can also be a torture, not just a step forward, can be a form of disappointment intensely experienced by those who do not comply with the inherent rules and who do not blame themselves in any circumstances of their own transgressions. It is good for everyone to learn to critically analyze the deviations from the normal course of life.
Does the integrity of your reality make up the dark register of the list of circumstances in which you have to demonstrate your attributes of consciousness, not in the sense of the gloom, but in the hidden in a less exploited area?
In "The Instructions of Kagemni", who seems to have been the vizier of King Sneferu, is found also this interesting observation: "The innermost room is open for the man of silence." Of course, these words can be assigned to more than one interpretation, but we will stop only on the essence that leadership requires.
Namely, to the value of the "hidden man", through that strong and striking component by which it manifests, that lays unknown deep within each of us. The value of man manifests visibly in the exterior, through the body, but always alternates between different poles: "to be" and "not to be".
The highest, most precios features of man are stored in "the innermost room", this area of vital resources for his existence and evolution, where he can intervene at any given time.
The integrity of his reality is given by the intensity with which he manifests the firm consciousness of his differentiating individuality. He demonstrates his attributes of consciousness, not in the sense of the somber, but in that of the hidden in a less exploited area called "missed experiences" or "feeling of rejection" when he cannot fulfill an ideal, when he is not given the possibility to refute his negative emotions.
The man who puts a price on human value, the man with an attitude based on morality and strength of character – the perfect model for leadership, embellishes his self-image – getting rid of everything that is toxic, of everything that can draw him down, of all negative ballast that can subjugate his existence. Only such a man can start afresh, only such a man can defeat "the demon" inside him.
Can you put yourself in situations where you increase your solidarity towards an experience that still leaves its mark on you, daily, without being rigorous in combating the enemy you do not know?
I read an interesting article today on the Internet, in which the orator Vasile Paun prioritized human knowledge: "If I fight fire with fire, I can’t expect to get peace. It is a situation where no one wins. I can not reach integration following the dynamic: victim – perpetrator – savior / resistance, or through fight and negativity. I must integrate positivity with negativity until I reach the balancing point."
A good leadership matters only if you get the victory over the "the hidden man" inside you. The result of a battle between two redoubtable opponents: fire and peace, negativism and positivism. An escape from the conflict with the moral and the immoral standard. A combination of circumstances where there are no reservations and alternatives: you either win or lose.
At one point, you can find yourself in both sides. What can help you get over the wall of uncertainty, the fundamental step towards full elucidation of all the unrest, is to block the opponent inside you and not let him splash you with venom. Arm yourself with the most precious quality: self-control, for you not to get hurt. Impose yourself upon the false reality that He inflicts you. Only so you will be able to root out this "demon" inside you, clenched like a foreign body to everything that individualizes you.
If you want to be helped to change, help yourself. In each of us are hidden the germs of an "Anton Chigurh" that reject their reason to be, limiting the contact with the sense of their own existence, with their origin, deriving from the primitiveness of those who chose the wrong path to human existence.
If you want to prove your humanity, take a firm stand against your own weaknesses, without straying from the constraints of your evolutionary line. Do you block your opponent or let him always cling to you until he pulls you down?
An enemy that you do not know, but one you always feel present in your reality, is the acceptance of becoming complacent in confusing and frustrating situations alongside a duplicate person who simultaneously serves two masters: continuous enmity and refusal to live a moral existence.
The Stigma Of Those Destined For Doom comes from that "I" remained in a rough state, rugged under the influence of education, human relations, self-knowledge and the surrounding world. In leadership, desire, willingness and power must act synergistically and in accordance with the "I" – the hidden man, who became a masterpiece in the workshop of the world.
