Yesterday I read a news item on the internet. It was stated that the board of directors of the major search engine, Yahoo, has set up a special commission to investigate how it was possible that in the CV of Scott Thompson, the current CEO of the company, a computer science diploma could be found, one the aforementioned did not obtain.

Thompson took over as CEO of Yahoo ! and then he added false information about a bachelor’s degree in computer science to his resume. The lie came to light after the head of the Third Point investment fund, which holds 6% of Yahoo’s capital, sent a letter to Yahoo’s board.

Yahoo has admitted that this is a serious issue and has set up a special commission to investigate why university qualifications listed in the CV do not coincide with reality and under what circumstances the inaccuracies occurred.

But the most important thing to remember is that in the midst of this scandal, Patti Hart, a board member who played a crucial role in hiring Thompson, decided to step down. *

Can you judge someone by the interaction between illusion and truth, and not on the basis of ideas you have gained from misinterpreting pertinent facts?

If you have your own organization, you can’t afford to let time go by without preparing your leaders for its future. And the fate of your leaders undoubtedly lies in their character, which declares them (or not) compatible with the requirements of the organization. As the head of the organization, you are entitled, and it is your mission to implement those solid principles by which to turn leaders into role models, ensuring that the outcome of their election is not altered by various negative factors that influence their development.

How do you prepare your leaders for the future of your company? How do you yourself prepare? What are the first three solid principles you have formulated that will inspire people and guide them to your leadership? How do you turn other people into leaders, and how do you turn leaders into role models? How do you develop personal relationships with those you intend to endow with a magnetic and imposing personality?

Remember that any good relationship between you and other future leaders begins with a personal connection. You have to be good friends, not just collaborators. What are the top three factors that you think could slow down or even stop the endowment of future leaders? What does your sincere interest in them mean to them?

What I liked about Patti Hart, a board member who played a crucial role in hiring Thompson, was that he decided to step down as soon as the scandal broke – avoiding a serious deterioration in his leadership which suffered with the outbreak of the scandal. Basically, Patti Hart has removed his mask, that of the superficial man who favors only the interests of others. His leadership was virulent, overshadowed by his inability to adhere to the principles of integrity and responsibility.

At least that’s what the news on the Internet say. For a leader who hires and accepts a person who lends himself to falsehood is certainly not exactly “innocent”.

What influence does the impact of your beliefs have on initiatives that are not within your decision-making power, but which can be synchronized with the image of a new meeting with yourself?

How long can you wear a mask? To conform indefinitely to a thought governed by those so-called procedures of “magic”, of accepting the less luminous aspects contaminating leadership is like parachuting. No matter how safe you are, you’ve got everything set up, you still can’t be 100 percent sure that your parachute will open, or that you won’t be knocked down by a very strong gust of air. An “unhealthy” leadership can always cause a “heart attack” on your image.

1. What do you think are the aspects that people don’t know (or don’t notice) about your leadership? What influence do you think these aspects would have on your impact? As people get to know you and like you, do they accept your guidance more and more and want to learn more from you?

2. Do you know the skills and weaknesses of future leaders? What temperament do they have? Do you know what their goals are? What motivates them?

3. Have you tried to see potential leaders outside of the business world? Remember that at work we all try to be the way others want us to be. This is true everywhere. What does “unhealthy leadership” mean to you?

Leadership can be determined during the analysis of initiatives prior to the adoption of initiatives that provide data on the possible decision-making consequences that involve lying, falsehood and deception behind appearances.

The Truth Cannot Be Hidden Behind A Mask. It eventually comes to light, as does your character, and when you don’t follow a unanimously accepted ethic and deontology, your prestige suffers.
