Everything Depends on Who Leads

Transformation Begins With Yourself

What you truly believe comes not from what you know, but from how you feel about what you know.

I was sitting on the bank of a river at sunset, watching how the water flowed towards the horizon without resistance. I felt that was the perfect image of life: every person is a flow between what they are and what they can become. And I am a person too, so I am also part of this flow, in continuous motion between what I have been and what I choose to become. In that moment, I understood that a leader is not the one who dominates the flow, but the one who understands it—who knows when to let the current carry them and when to change it through simple presence. It was as if the water whispered to me: "Transformation is not forced; it is recognized when you are ready to be touched by it."

Years later, in moments of decision, the image of the river always returned to my mind. Like an inner compass that does not mistake direction, it reminded me that evolution is not a vertical climb, but a union between the flow and the sea, between knowledge and letting go. Leadership, in essence, means remaining clear in intention and present in action, even when the banks are changing; it means continuing to be yourself even in the midst of the unknown. And every time I chose to listen instead of imposing, I felt the sea of common understanding draw a little closer to my heart.

For me, very briefly, leadership means transformation. It is about that quiet clarity that appears when you choose to remain open beyond fear, ego, or the need for control.

And transformation begins with yourself, starting from the present point, and reaching the maximum point of evolution. And this maximum point of evolution, like a river flowing into the sea, advances with the flow of science and knowledge you accumulate, with the continuous flow between receiving and giving back, between accepting that you are in the same boat as the rest of the world and utterly rejecting that you are different. It is as if you are navigating without a map, but with full confidence in the current that carries you, knowing that the sea you are heading towards is not an end, but a more comprehensive form of your self.

Can you create an authentic visual and emotional interaction that makes your experience meaningful?

Remember the novel "Siddhartha" by Hermann Hesse? It's a scene at the river, when Siddhartha stops in front of the water and realizes that all moments of life – past, present and future – coexist in the same flow. The river becomes a metaphor for wisdom and inner transformation, similar to how I find clarity and meaning in the flow of existence. So there is a bridge between evolution and collapse. A perfect balance between "being" and "becoming" intersects many areas of life, being decisive for the deep meaning that takes shape within you.

To be a human being, as nature has created you, not a robot, not a "lateral" being, superior through the skill with which he handles science and advanced knowledge in one field or another, is an art that some, although they are human beings, do not master. To be a "Human" is the first requirement of leadership directed towards the best path. What you truly create from your own consciousness does not come from what you know, but from what you feel about what you know — now, in the living moment.

In fact, the evolution towards the absolute brings to the fore that minimization of the value of man, of the one who fails to give une signification merveilleuse to his life. But who, driven by the deepest impulses, inspired by the strongest ideals, tries to achieve Glory by crowning himself with the laurels of superiority.

Do you insist on understanding what seems incomprehensible? Is the "trembling within you" a consequence of your curiosity about everything that surrounds you, about the laws in a state of constant change that govern nature and the world?

Contact with what makes you authentic occurs the moment you see your reflection not as an image, but as a recognition of who you really are, when you free yourself from your tendency not to climb where you were not meant to go.

There is an interesting scene in the movie "The Lion King". The moment when Simba, lost and confused, sees his reflection in the water and hears Mufasa say to him: "Remember who you are." It is the moment when he understands that leadership is not about strength, but about responsibility and harmony with that which is greater than him - just as the river in my life reflects a balance between knowledge and renunciation. In fact, the self-forgetfulness from which wandering is born because you have lost touch with what is essential in you.

Do you accept your limits and move forward with yourself, in the present that is most important? Or do you tend to be like a superior being, whose only concern is to detach from everything that makes you human? For, what gives value to life is the power to withdraw from the illusions of perfection and to remain in touch with what makes you human — the ability to feel, to make mistakes and yet to move forward towards the essence.

Are you a man who is heading towards his own condemnation, trying to understand absolutely everything, abstracting from the simple mystery of life? Or are you the man who loves life and its small miracles, and lives it with dignity and joy?

Stop halfway. Don't keep climbing to where you were not meant to go. Give meaning and continuity to your own transformation, without inflating your ego to a height that could jeopardize your purpose of being a "complete human being".

Leadership has as its profound purpose the tendency to give meaning to the experience of human authenticity, so that others can find in their own lives the assumed path of a self oriented towards lived truth, not just thought.

Transformation begins with yourself when you stop looking for answers only externally and start listening to your conscience with complete honesty. Only when we know how to truly use life will life open the heavy doors of its immense reason. Only by mastering the complex mechanics of time — the one that constantly imposes new boundaries and horizons — will we manage to narrow the distance that separates us from unknown truths. At that moment, we will be able to fully understand or, at least, glimpse the answer to the great mysteries of man and the universe.
