Moscow is savagely bombed. The hitlerians start their offensive against the capital. However, Eisenstein continues his work on the movie. All over, reigns the chaos of disorganization, the normal course of the studio’s life is not yet retaken for a long, long time. The auditorium is also becoming a shooting stage. The studios are small, chambers of the house of culture are not made for shooting. Eisenstein does not have a separate dwelling, he stands on 11 square meters. Many times, his financial situation is completely catastrophic "rates retention are all over, and hell knows what comes out".

From where so much force in this artist, who lives in such conditions, to work - and the working conditions are even more terrible - pursuing obstinately his ideas, carrying with an inhuman patience, until perfection every detail, the smallest detail of his vision, dealing with everything, absolutely everything, insisting even for obtaining the proper thickness of the layer of grout from the ecclesiastical objects that barely are to be gilded? *

Only by investing more time in the work of creating an objective reality, meant to express your conscience, but not the despairs or discontents, you will be able to replenish your personality.

11 Square Meters aims that form of man existence, became the prisoner of his own creation and future projection, but which, reflecting and introspecting himself a long while, can understand other angles of approaching a potentially problematic situation.

The joy of victory, materialized in a new series of professional success, it is often based exactly on the awareness, attitude toward yourself, self-revelation, valid by opposition to what is happening around.
