After having consulted with his best commanders in regards to choosing the best attack strategy, they agreed that the best solution was to start a sea strike. Each of them wants to win the confrontation by overcoming its adversary in efficiency, ingenuity, in weaponry and occupying the desired territory. During battles, each camp has successes or failures. Even if one of them lost a battle, it can still win the war, depending on the strategy it applies in the meantime.
No matter how effective the strategy the army applies, it will never be able to start a war and a battle if it’s not ready to win or to support the consequences in case it will lose. In a war, the best prepared army wins, you rarely get a “rematch”, especially when there are no rules or when they are not observed.
A leader will have to justify his investment in maneuvering innovative techniques, approaches and practices, as a kind of corollary of the law of causality which cannot be a simple result deduced from the facts of experience, because he himself is the author of this experience.
Preparation is more than necessary. You must be sure that people are well trained and that they have understood what you expect of them, and it is mandatory that you have the material resources and financial means to support them during the entire war. Simply put, if you don’t know how to organize the resources you need (such as time, the material basis, the human basis etc.), you will not be able to undertake efficient actions in view of preventing an eventual failure.
