A Healthy Eye Never Forgets Its Vision

Don't try to see what seems out of reach when doubts cloud your perspective.

There are things in my eyes that dare not confess anything to me, but I would like to ask them to reveal themselves to me. I say this because I lost my keys to the house. Although I have found keys before, including car keys, I never thought I would lose them in the park while running. According to the saying "You only lose in life what you have to lose", I thought about a wholeness of my personality without getting attached to the ephemeral things that, although they seem essential at a given moment, are only simple steps on the path of my personal evolution.

Then, curious fact, I experienced the pose in which man, free in his actions, lives an adventure in accordance with destiny as a searcher of lost things, like a detective trying to unravel the mystery of a disappearance. It is that privileged posture of the man who lives in the horizon of the search and in the care of thinking of the loss as "preserving" rather than "forgetting". Thus I came to ask myself how I can keep alive the memory of a lost thing without forgetting it. Just thinking about him? Writing about it? Telling a story that details a life lesson? That is not enough. Perhaps I should attribute to this event that moved my spirit in the direction of introspection an eventful character, a kind of epiphany, so that it is not lost in the nothingness of oblivion.

This is how I came to the scenario of the confrontation between loss and oblivion, this is how I came to understand that the basis of an obligation, a compromise clause contained in a conflict with myself, is to use my experience and knowledge accumulated from this incident, to be able to guide my practical reason in the process of understanding a new stage of evolution and maturation. And, reaching another level of relating to myself, by extending the idea of losing an object that at first glance seems trivial, I discovered a starting point for an unexpected and enriching adventure

Have you ever realized that by losing something of value of your own volition, you found yourself in the same place, facing the inevitability of fate?

My mistake was that I expected to find the keys in the same place two hours later. So I wasted the rest of my time trying, stupidly and pointlessly, to find what was by no means visible. After that there was a strange silence, a mental discomfort, an intermezzo between nothing and words, as if I had reached an end point, as if I had to react in a different way: to get angry or maybe to i am shocked It was the sign of an internal struggle, as if I had to choose a different reaction to the given situation.

Then, something in me matured. Suddenly, I realized that I had the ability to act like a scandalized man, like a schoolboy ready for money, or like an adult who does not devalue himself over any trifle. I'm trying to understand things that I haven't paid enough attention to before.

In the novel "The Ring of Polycrates" by Friedrich Schiller, the ruler of Ancient Greece named Polycrates purposely loses a ring of great value by throwing it into the sea to avoid an old saying that the lucky ones will suffer in the a great loss ensued. He believed that by losing something of value of his own free will, he could cheat fate. However, when the ring is returned to him, found in the belly of a fish, Polycrates realizes that he cannot control his destiny and that the loss and re-finding of the ring are symbols of the cyclical nature of fortune and the inevitability of fate.

Through the loss and subsequent recovery of his ring, Polycrates is forced to confront the idea that life and destiny cannot be controlled by mere symbolic gestures. The ring, as a material object, becomes the catalyst for deep introspection and recognition of the limits of one's own control over life.

Can you achieve a revelation that makes you understand that your self and existence are deeply influenced by a visual representation that illustrates the relationship between cause and effect?

I also believe that if I thought like the famous leader, then only one thing would make me more mature: to realize that all the things I own are transient and that true wisdom and maturity come from the ability to accept change and uncertainty as part of integral to existence. Only this acceptance can free me from the illusion of absolute control, allowing me to live more fully, appreciate the present moment, and value authentic experiences more than material possessions.

As noted, I recognized myself as a protagonist in the act of losing that thing that opened the door to my house for years. And this incident, useful in a certain way especially because it does not represent a major loss, can be thought of as an initiative, an opportunity to get to know me better, even if I am not paying attention to the details. How many people don't go through daily events without knowing how to see their stories, just as they don't know how to tell about them or transform them into something meaningful.

This time, from a trivial accident, I learned that balance and inner harmony do not come from having, but from being; not from accumulating, but from understanding and appreciating the beauty and fragility of life. The object thought and felt is important, not its possession, not its form of existence.

Have you ever experienced moments when emotion and reason were heightened by the mental representation of feelings inspired by an event that profoundly changed the way you perceive a visual image?

The object ceased to be a medium of utility becoming a symbol of personal transformation, putting me in the position of a seeker of the hidden meanings of life. So, the object is reborn in the place where its forgetting has settled, simultaneously with an effort to awaken the memory. There must be a relation of intelligibility between the receiver and the received object for the image of loss to invest the object with meaning.

At that moment I could not declare myself the center and master of my things, because that would require full awareness. And not only that, but the fact that I've lost something means that I don't have total control over it. I somewhat resemble a character in John Fowles' novel The Collector who at one point said:

I always had the idea in my head that I would understand. The idea itself did not concern me, but I happened to see an advertisement just as I was about to I turn the page: "Far from what I thought was essential, I found a release from constraints. "

This release from constraints can be seen as an opening to new possibilities, freeing me from the daily routine or responsibilities that seemed to limit my life experience. At the same time, the new perspective opened my eyes to a world where everyday objects and events are not just what they seem to be on the surface, but carry stories, lessons and symbols waiting to be deciphered. Through this change in role, from a mere observer of life to an interpreter of its symbols, I will begin to live with a greater awareness of the infinite depths and possibilities that each moment of life offers.

I still ask myself the question: "How can I keep a thing, lost, without forgetting it?"

Turning it into a story, into a symbol, into a life lesson, into a bridge between me and myself.

Leadership can be seen as an opening to new possibilities of understanding life experiences, by releasing the constraints imposed by material attachments.

A healthy eye does not forget its hindsight when exploring new perspectives, just as an actor cannot forget his role when performing a new scene throughout the performance. And if I want to return to a place where I lost something, constantly viewing it as a marker of a lesson learned, perhaps I should first recognize the value of the experience I went through and embrace the transformation on who brought it to me before I tried to find it.
