A Soul For Victory
Put yourself completely in the service of a noble purpose, without detaching yourself from your consciousness.
It is a great deal to enjoy a name and a high social position. It is a great deal to be the devoted wife of a very wealthy man. Your name is renowned and becomes almost as famous as your husband. Nevertheless, at the same time, sometimes, in certain circumstances, the same thing can become a hell. And what a hell !
There are occasions, which shatter any visions and exceed any human anticipation, putting human will at a test. Elena de la Vega, the beloved wife of count Alejandro de la Vega, an extremely pure heart, a flower of innocence, a very delicate soul, was forced by the governmental agents of the United States of America, Pike and Harrington, to play the role of a spy.
Like a sheep good to be sacrificed, like a soul destined to perdition from the very beginning, Elena was sent to an extremely dangerous mission, without the two agents caring at all about her fate. She must win the trust of the malefic French Count Armand, the leader of the secret legion Orbis Unum, and to find out the way through which he wants to destroy America. She can't act on her own, but according to the will of the agents, she has no choice but to submit herself with rigor, thus putting her life in danger.
If you watched the movie "The Legend of Zorro (2005)" probably you remember the end. Elena, together with her husband, focusing the entire skill, strength and intelligence, managed by an ingenious plan to dispel the organizers and plot against America and to save their own lives.
Do you value each life responsibly according to the position you occupy in the context of a greater duration of exploiting opportunities of assertion - for which can be taken unfavorable constraining measures?
Elena de la Vega was a victim of circumstances, forced to action on a mine field. Maybe for a good cause or maybe not, but she certainly fought for salvation. She was just an innocent soul, but one alone makes no difference when there are hundreds, thousands, or hundreds of thousands to be saved, is not it?
Here's a question that a leader must ponder very well. It is the same question, the same for thousands of years, which almost all kings and emperors asked themselves: Do you have the courage, the moral power to sacrifice an innocent soul in order to save hundreds of thousands of them?
One more thing. If you had to take such a decision, to sacrifice an innocent soul in order to save thousands of other souls, would you be seized by emotions, would you feel overwhelmed by remorse? The very thought would fill your heart with anxiety? Would you morally endure to become guilty because of a single accusation, even if it was for the benefit of hundreds, thousands, hundreds of thousands of people? Only the thought that you committed the greatest sin, even if indirectly, would not it grind your conscience?
The unfavorable constraining measures imposed by your opportunities of assertion, as an attribute and finality of how to manage a crisis of identity, are classified into two categories: an intensification of the feeling of guilt in the present of a conscience that alienates itself and an emotional statement of responsibility taken to the point of sacrifice.
The strength of your virtues, taken from healthy longing for values and ideals, lies in the attitude with which you relate to what you feel you are in a way that does not allow you to accept even the very idea of a miracle. You lose control over your virtues when all the tendencies of your spiritual nature have their sphere of incidence constrained to the facts that enter in the sphere of the notion of being "a contributor to the change of things for the better."
Is your leadership a zero-valued character in the particular circumstances of a destiny that does not end up in your hands?
One of the main line of force of leadership is represented by the complexity of what you are about to become in an unstable situation. Which is defined by an exact match between the position that you adopt during crisis and your conception of superiority, sometimes rejecting it under an unstable or unfriendly climate to high performance. As long as the character is kept intact, regardless of the state of the conjuncture and the transformation of the concepts of life, leadership will survive and prosper.
Otherwise, if leadership is represented by a zero value character, in which there can be identified specific keys of norms and rules that cannot provide (on the basis of strictly outlined principles) a sufficient and fair protection against external influences, one may get in an awkward situation. The same goes when one reports to Art in a universe of surrogates and substitutes, a great variety of dysfunctional ways of thinking and acting, resorting to improper judgment criteria to a true "artwork". I refer to the Art of searching yourself in other people's soul.
You can consider yourself lost spiritually as far as your dignity feeds from the longing for some values that you do not normally have. And if the reality of your condition of a being, subjected to the randomness of existentialism is shaped by the inability to reach a definitive recognition from society, then the leadership you outline for yourself is one based on randomness, and not on the principles on consciousness.
A study of your mission, which proposes an analysis of your renewing acceptation of the content of a determined perception, offering a certain "dignity" to the categorical imperatives that open once with choosing a specific way of thinking and acting, can be presented as an orientation guide in the conscience's tangled thickets. Your level of dedication and mutual help gives you access to the higher levels of understanding your own being.
Leadership is the art of seeking yourself in the souls of others in a turning point that enhances the meaning and purpose of your existence.
There are even today people able to sustain real changes in society, in the lives of other people using the same two accomplices: an intolerant Alter-Ego and an extremist Alter-Ego. Using them, leadership turns into a surrogate, an inauthentic and consumed performance development product. Especially if we take into account that, over time, its the composition of defining elements, material and spiritual, which are found in the complexity of the realities we live in, suffer important mutations.
Leadership is not a play. Are you ready for disappointments? The more you position yourself higher in the hierarchy, the more you have to take more difficult decisions, the more you have to assume moral and spiritual responsibility for your own actions.
A leader, just like a wise man, which understands the consequences of each action which he voluntarily makes, prudent in his conclusions, deliberate in his actions, has to work for the common well-being, namely for everybody's sake and for each of them alone, assuming responsibility for every tiny little mistake he commits.
In order to feel his conscience appeased, he must exhibit an unlimited nobleness, of equity, a remarkable correctitude, to take care of the personal security of everybody under his command and, with an unyielding will, decision and perseverance in completely serving others, to take the most appropriate decisions, which would not hurt anybody, in any kind of circumstance.
A true leader has the scope of authority to control from what kind of circumstances was born the judgment of the "unexpected effect" type, which actually forms the basis of an approach of awareness of the role he undertakes emphasized by the measure of accountability for facts, thoughts, and feelings, over his integrity.
Conclusion: A leader can be put in a position to take decisions to the detriment of someone, but not to the detriment of all, and these decisions must surely have a legal argument. Some other times, unfortunately, the leader must sacrifice the life of some in order to save others, which becomes a tough decision, based on a lot of responsibility.
It would be ideal for the leader to sacrifice himself for the benefit of everybody, but is there such a leader?
Put yourself completely in the service of a noble purpose, without detaching yourself from your consciousness.
