It was born within me that matchless persistency, typical of the artist driven by the desire of creating something original, of finding an artistic language through the voice called "Myself". But as close as possible to the forms of the invisible, namely, with hidden meanings, doubled by truths and uncertainties, through particular elements: colors, themes, trends, the combining of nuances, intensity, contrast, aspect, the balance of subjectivity and objectivity.
Always through the shadowed gates of the entire literary universe, that I tried for so many times to reinvent, alone against the regular enlargements of the border of the "unknown", spilled the perfect unity of opposites, flared to the most pronounced convergence. Regarding the style, relatively heavy, he betrayed certain tendencies of exaggerating effects of perspective of a character or subject.
Opposites attract, but not before being purifying and deepening that consistent stylistic constant, that particularity of the perception of form that takes place in the very absence of complete information, in the guise of an entry into the imaginary, where everything has other meanings, other embodiments, other audiences. Even though I forced myself to be in the shoes of an authentic artist, living and creating outside the commercial quotas, far from the appreciative or depreciative classifications of the critics, I did not know how complicated it is to abstractly treat the reference space of a pure plasticity meant to give birth to artistic emotion, expressing vigor and solidity at the same time.
Is the content rendered by the image of your creation perceived as dominant in the treatment of a particularity of the artistic personality inclined towards introspection, but especially towards the analysis of a reality developed in parallel with its own?
Until I gained artistic mastery, I kept preoccupying myself with that unity of opposites that ensured stability and balance for my literary universe, but with some disapproval. As if I had entered a battle with the wandering spirit of a genius that projected upon me all oscillations of a repetitive image, subsumed to another, archetypal image, of an original model.
The only place where I managed an incursion into Art Nouveau, spontaneously exploring the ambivalence of a symbolic production that was at the same time a captivating reconstruction of life and death, because everything bears a transformation on an organic substrate, was where no limits existed. In the dream, something much deeper than the simple image of an ending with no beginning, a vision into the metaphysical that was about to become the later expression of spiritual beauty or the illusion of a lie, demanding the deliberate creation of an interpretive disarray.
The essential constituent of art is an obsession of the whole creative life based on the background of an Ego that is in a hypostasis of confrontation with a fictional reality. Art is a place where revelation about yourself surfaces in an attempt to self-transcend by broadening the scope of representations of life, nature, time, space, good and evil, beauty and ugliness.
Therefore, the particularity of an artistic personality inclined towards introspection, which I had to take into account if I wanted to experiment with a new formula for finding creative abilities, was the one to express myself freely and to express my experiences in a different way from others. Through enigmatic visions, through enigmatic realities, through captivating stories and images that never make up a complete picture.
Just like Salvador Dali. All his paintings have a myriad of interpretations, and they never seem to stop stirring up an ever-increasing controversy.
Do you put in all the effort into understanding a work of art, without trying to find the explanation of its creator?
Putting in all the effort into understanding a work of art is a completely different thing from trying to find the explanation of its creator. The first variant is based on the intention of integrating yourself into a picture you find unusual. The second variant is related to the attempt of placing yourself in the place of the one who sparked within you the interest of identifying the essential elements of the painting.
“The privilege of being better than what you are” is reserved for those who know how to choose from the panoply of daily life the image of a new reality capable of provoking feelings in the field of art, such as the feeling of liberation, of peace, of purity, of total freedom, as when you open a great secret from which all the others flow, making you feel in a familiar environment, full of harmony, fantasy and originality.
To make what I want to emphasize clearer, I present to you Fanshawe, as his creator briefly characterized him, writer Paul Auster. Extract, if you can, that novelty full of wisdom, that "here is your place", under the aspects of a little by little, step by step, eliminating any philosophical approach. I’ve already confused you, have I not? But, read on:
"Fanshawe had something so attractive that you wanted to sit next to him at all times, as if you could live within his sphere and receive the touch of his personality. He always showed himself willing to help you, but at the same time, he remained inaccessible. He gave you the impression that there exists a secret core within him which you could never penetrate, a mysterious and hidden center. By imitating him, I somehow became part of that mystery, but at the same time I understood that we could never come to truly know him."
The image of the creator highlights that immutable self-portrait of an ego that assumes the role of an iconic character in a “memory” type area that can be directly observed and explored through an amplification of existential experiences.
In my version, Art Nouveau is formed on the basis of an alliance between descriptions and characters, presented in an unexpected and unpredictable way, by adding background images from which is born the specifics of a living subject, full of mystery, that is inaccessible to a precise analysis.
This image can be individualized through the current values of the proposed arguments and integrated in a scenario in which the readers – yes, the readers – must only retain the peculiarities that give out a certain charm, an intrigue, ensuring the search for the essence of what is hidden even from themselves. The reader is the mirror, the story, the voice, the model, the portrait of a fascinating character with which they can identify.
An artist who doesn’t insert a special meaning into his paintings, one who cannot be associated with any symbol, the one who never makes a call to the contrast of chiaroscuro, will never be labeled as a genius. So, keep your privilege of being more than what you are in the eyes of the world.
The man who promotes leadership is the artist who builds a non-conformist image, reuniting it with the true experiences and appreciations of the one who wants to soar above his genius.
Leadership is behind what presents itself as a reaction to the effect of a call of entry into a mysterious character, from which you can choose a variety of characteristics and manifestations necessary for personal reinvention. It contains a fragment from the scenario of finding the essence of what you are in the variety of human types thrown into the vortex of masks.
The character introduces you into the specifics of a certain side of personality that you’ve often obscured, but that nevertheless exists within you, and awaits to be savored and launched into the world as a pretext for feeling like you are part of the magical world of the stories experience by others. The one who tries to imitate you or find an explanation is automatically included in the mystery.
Art is not only characterized by a bold and disturbing vision, but also by an emotional assumption of the experiences of the character that you are willing to no longer separate in the reality that others observe with contemplation.
Art Nouveau is an incursion within human nature that seeks itself, discovers itself, refuses to itself in what it is not and accepts itself in what it can and must be. In leadership prevails the power of being a mysterious character, making you, more daring, different, surprising through a special charm, becoming more interesting as you manage to widen the border of unknown about yourself.
