Eyes Shape Subjective Perception
Aesthetic vision knows how to capture a succinct representation of reality and transform every moment into a work of art.
I'm at the seaside. I watch the sea throw its waves on the shore, just as the painter throws his imagination on the canvas, trying to capture the beauty and power of nature, so I pay attention to the power and majesty of nature, as well as its vulnerability and fragility. Here, my vision develops in depth, by capturing the essential details or, on the contrary, it can be reduced to a flat surface, such as a painting that only expresses appearances, a fact that puts the artist in front of an impasse: he detaches himself from the real by overgeneralization.
The sea itself looks at me with the amazement of the painter who transcends the limits of the image. And he looks at me with soft and wet eyes, referring to the action of colors on the expression my face takes when I'm happy, or on the contrary, when something worries me. Because the sea, no matter what state she's in, calm or agitated, sees everything as a challenge, an activity to find emotions, a reality show dedicated to life stories, while an ordinary person takes everything as a blessing, or as a curse.
Of course, looking at the sea with admiration, taking note, I am free to express my emotions in a revival of figurative and narrative painting that enriches the soul and opens new horizons. Painting is the art of waiting, like a subtle silence capable of bringing unexpected answers, of waiting for the right moment to clothe and accentuate the ideas of those emotions expressed with unparalleled depth. In this case the eyes, also waiting for the appearance of an artistic phenomenon, of a more pronounced realism, know how to capture a sublime painting, a synchronic visual phenomenon, a space that is immediately and fully understood and appreciated as a kind of merit, namely: the merit of communicating that inner experience that I imprint on nature and things around.
Can you represent yourself in a figurative way, so that the person you relate to through Alter-Ego goes beyond the limits of the image you look at in reality?
Other times, lazing on the beach, I pretend to be dreaming, my mind invades me with all kinds of memories from the future, places, people and situations that I then find that I only lived in a dream. And this is a bit strange, because I try to experience as intensely as possible something that is lost in the next moment.
Certainly, the feelings I experience when I am at the seaside are real, while the feelings I experience when I am in the dream are imaginary. Here the word of the day, essentially warm, overflowing, vital, is "similarity", a key factor in the mutual attraction of two tangible or intangible elements, suggesting that there is a connection between the different experiences and states they live on the coast, even if they are unique and strange in their context.
In this support comes a fragment from a work by Paul Auster, in which the character puts his vision to the test to find a similarity between two opposite states that evoke the word "twins":
Stilman also insisted on the paradox of the word "twins" which at the same time suggests "unite" and "separate" thus embodying two equal and opposite meanings which in turn embody a vision of language that Stilman considered present in all of Milton's work. In Paradise Lost for example each keyword has two meanings: one before the banishment and one after. To prove his point, Stilman extracted several such words -- sinister, deliciously twisted -- and showed that their use before the banishment was untouched by moral connotations, while their use after the banishment from heaven was dark, ambiguous, permeated with the knowledge of evil.
Are you able to get as close as possible to a faithful and unaltered representation of external reality, so as to change the subjective perception of those who interact with your creation?
Deep emotions are both unifying and dividing, just like the relationship between "twins". And if I felt obliged to interrupt my desire to make art in my dream, to cancel the power center of the creative mind, then reality would become a "Paradise Lost" from which I would refuse to detach myself because here I found the source inspiration and the sliver of eternity that feeds my soul.
In this case, the painting uses colors to create an emotional atmosphere that helps convey my ideas, but more than that, the painting becomes a suggestion of the metamorphosis of the feelings I experience in a dream context, in harmony with the emotional subtleties, where reality intertwines with subjective perception.
Subjective perception refers to the unique way each individual interprets and understands reality based on their own experiences, knowledge, beliefs, and emotional states. In the context of painting and art in general, subjective perception can influence both the creation and interpretation of a work of art. The point is that the creative act can have the power to change or influence the way I see the world, which brings me closer to a "real" or "objective" understanding of it.
For example, an artist may paint a landscape in a specific way not only because he sees it, but also because he "feels" or "believes" it. In the same way, two different people can see the same painting and interpret it completely differently depending on how they feel. Other times, in the act of painting or looking at a painting, the lines between "objective reality" and "subjective reality" become blurred, creating a deep and personal artistic experience.
By analogy with painting, leadership accepts as an approach a suggestion of metamorphosing the feelings you experience based on a vision integrated into the act of creation, so that the experience you live in reality is one lived within an ideal image.
The Eyes Shape Subjective Perception in a significant way, serving as a filter between the external world and the internal interpretation of it. Any eye, especially those looking at a work of art, sees details and colors in a slightly different way, and the brain, the indispensable reason, combines this information to create a coherent image.
However, what I saw is not only an objective record of the outside world, a personal interpretation of reality, but also an interpretation influenced by factors such as well-being, memorable experiences and even dream frames in which I matured spiritually and soulfully.
