In „Le docteur mystérieux” the French writer Alexandre Dumas, bring back in the foreground the lawyer Georges Jacques Danton, one of the leading figures of the French Revolution.

France was going through a difficult period, the Prussians threatened to invade the country. A basic man should be sent as soon as possible at Verdum to organize the best defense. And the best man for this mission could only be Dr. Jacques Merey. After giving the appropriate powers to Jacques, Danton said firmly:

- You will answer for all when you will return, Jacques. Think you're on a mission for the government and that no obstacle should stand in the way of a man who has the sword at the hip, two pistols at the waist and at ten thousand francs in his pocket...You will make a holy thing, poetic, glorious... Are you willing to deny the influence of external factors on your act of will, factors that often alter your dominance of emotions when you remain the last witness of the times?

You will be able to better position in relation to people only if you manage to motivate them to focus on what matters most to them in a way that nobody has done so far. For this, you have to find the strongest arguments to support (with great aplomb) your beliefs and your points of view, but that would express those feelings that would correspond to their values and horizons, those feelings which by their nature to awaken people's interest in order to fulfill their obligations.

Georges Jacques Danton, whose leader talent cannot be disputed, has invested with authority to Dr Jacques Merey, convincing him to accept that it is his duty as a citizen of honor of the country to engage wholeheartedly in the hot issues of national interest, to accept that it is his moral duty to be a hero, to answer the appeal to serve his country, thus making him responsible for how it will take place the events that depended on him.

Danton has managed to cultivate and to send Jacques the spirit of unity and solidarity, instilling confidence and courage in his potential. He received with gratitude Danton's exhortation to get involved in solving the country’s problems, and forming a positive image on the important role he has been granted. Therefore, Dr. Jacques Merey did not deny the influence of external factors on his act of will, factors that could alter his dominance of emotions, knowing that if he survived the trials, he would remain the last witness of the turbulent times his country was going through.

In leadership, it is more important to be designated for a hectic and unpredictable life than to lead a quiet and carefree personal life.

Why do I say that it was possible for Jacques Merey to remain the last witness to those troubled times? Because his glorious existence in the service of the state depended on his merits. He was obliged to rule over it, to feel guilty about something that might bring insult to the state.

Just as the light of a light bulb results from the condensation of current around a core, so too the greatness of your character results from most of your deeds united around a common factor: changing faith. You must have the ability to recognize yourself chosen to achieve a lofty ideal, and at the same time you must experience the amazement of staying alive in times of hardship.

Be prepared to face the meaning of your life in a dynamic of events paralyzed by uncertainty, during which the chance to assert yourself depends on the joint efforts of the parties involved, but more on knowing the context of the interaction between “dominance of emotions” and the ability to adapt to new emotional states in troubling situations.

Do you feel that you have to deal with stressful situations, but you can’t overcome your fear of experiencing the feelings that the process of helping out which you continue in the name of an ideal can generate?

Just as the difference between successful business and those less productive, it is not only in the adopted strategies, but rather in the ability to implement those strategies - so the difference between winning or losing people's confidence is not only in how well you are seen by them, but rather in your ability to communicate your intentions to them without hurting their pride, ego, feelings they have for you, without pushing them for certain actions or activities that do not match their values, their ideals and beliefs.

Leadership is the act of manifesting an initiative full of determination (but also full of the weight of emotions) that gives importance to the formation of strong character at the intensity stemming from the thrill of amazement to stay alive in the midst of destructive and divisive events.

The Fair Price Of The Apprenticeship Contract means the confidence that you have to pay to people for the services they offer. Each time you assign someone a role, every time you delegate someone in a function, you are obliged to pay first, that "tax" of confidence that would raise his morale, to motivate him more, and to make him more aware of his mission.

Leadership is a "contract" which you conclude with some people, directly or indirectly, a contract where both sides - you and them - agreed to contribute to the success of some actions. However, you must be willing to give something in advance, so that they would share your beliefs and vision. You should provide them with the certainty that they are able to achieve their objectives. How? Cultivating and sending them the spirit of unity and solidarity, by emphasizing their full potential of which they are capable.

Make sure that you could reasonably satisfy people's expectations on their performances. Do not tell them what they want to hear, but what really helps them develop confidence in their own potential, to regulate better the ability to carry out the mission entrusted to them, with great responsibility and highly professional. What really motivates an individual it is the trust with that it was invested in a decision function. Moreover, the authority that is confirmed to you, as a leader, it is his consent to take over the tasks that were assigned to him, and his desire to accomplish them.

Just as those who work in advertising seek a unique brand of a product to make it easier to distinguish from the many similar products - so you too, as a leader, you must seek that unique feature of every individual, to know how to emphasize it in order to determine each of them to be more confident in their own potential.

Conclusion:

Your success depends on how you position in relation to people. People differ from each other through that plus of optimism and confidence that their leader instill to them, therewith investing in one or more responsibilities. Before instructing an individual with an important mission, you must invest him with a confidence based on a deep knowledge of him and his skills, so that you would be sure that he would cope with the mission.

Everything has a price. Also, in leadership is a price that can express the value of one or more people, value that increases in conditions in which you invest in him or in his toil and confidence by emphasizing their full potential of which they are capable. The price of this "apprenticeship contract" is fair when the report between investments and benefits is balanced, benefits consisting in involvement, in undertaking and successfully fulfilling the conferred.
