I Will Now Reveal To You Part Of The Nature Of The Phoenix
True wisdom begins when we recognize that visible reality is only a deceptive illusion.
The Great Seer enters through the door on the right.
- Find out, he said to Cheops, as they walked, that each of these galleries leads to narrow halls or crossroads, reached by a door. However, each one has seven doors dominated by seven spiritual entities, called divinities or demons, it is not important. And each of these doors leads to ten other doors. You can thus realize the complexity and the intricate way in which these galleries intertwine, which can be closed next to each of these doors. For you must also know that these places are the image of the Duat, as the souls of the dead pass through it before arriving before the judgment of Osiris. But you will gradually be able to discover that these are just visions that do not represent reality, because reality is the opposite of appearances.
- Are you saying that what we see, what we hear is not reality, that it is just an illusion?
- Cheops, I admire your insight and quick thinking. You have understood correctly, which makes me happy, because I have the feeling that it will not be difficult for you to follow the teaching that I begin to convey to you from this day.
They arrived at a small hall, from which three galleries opened. Benu invites Cheops to sit down.
How do you relate to the idea that each personal reality is just a fracture in a much larger picture, completed by a horizon that transcends individual perception?
- I will now reveal to you part of the nature of the Phoenix. Do not lose sight of the fact that this temple, inside which we are just entering, is his dwelling, the place of his manifestation. He is said to live in the Land of God, which is south of Egypt. Some say that this Country of God is nothing but those immense lands situated on the other side of the Eastern Sea, which borders our coasts, inhabited by nomadic tribes. In the south of this country, towards the regions we call Punt, there would live the Phoenix, which would feed on frankincense and myrrh. He would be born from himself, so that he is his own son and at the same time his father.
When the father dies, he is enclosed in a coffin made of myrrh, in the shape of an egg, and taken to the temple where we are. As these funerals only happen every five hundred years, I have never had the opportunity to verify the truth of these sayings. AND neither is the version preserved in the books of our temple, which says that the Phoenix, after living five hundred years, makes a bed of nard, of yellow myrrh, and cinnamon, sets it on fire, and lies upon it to be consumed on this pyre funeral, to then be reborn from its own ashes. This new Fenix would then fly here, for this temple is where he emerged from the mists of time.
Can becoming eternal be a reflection of your personal nature, revealed to the outer worlds through an image that transcends the boundaries of time and space?
- Is this story written in a book? Cheops asked.
- So the Great Seer told me before me, but I have never seen this book which, according to what they say, could be in a secret hiding place in the temple of Thoth at Hermopolis. But this story contains deeper truths. In reality, God's Earth, where the Phoenix comes from, is located, no one knows where, at the edge of the world or the edge of the universe. Because the Phoenix that is reborn from its own ashes is the symbol of the man who is reborn in another body of light.
That is why he is the soul of Ra, emerging from the primordial matter. It is eternal becoming and Eternity itself and there is also Infinity, and Eternity is day and Infinity is night, for infinity is closely connected with eternity, one cannot exist without the other, just as day cannot exist without night, each being one of the hidden faces of the universe, their union forming the All, the One, the Eternal and the Infinite. Therefore, I am already revealing part of the veil of Isis to you: learn that at the heart of the labyrinth is the Phoenix.
But you will not truly discover its essence, its nature, until after you have passed through all the doors of the inner world and reached that hall of revealed Mystery. Today you passed the first door. Now let us turn to the visible light of the sun, which is only the reflection of the true light of Atum-Ra, so that you may meditate on all that has been revealed to you.
Learning is a journey that begins under the guidance of those who can reveal the deepest buried secrets. And overcoming the illusions recognized by reality prepares us for the encounter with the essence of truth.
I will now reveal to you part of the nature of the Phoenix: what appears to be reality is only a shadow of the truth hidden behind appearances. And the road to truth is paved with doors of perception that must be opened with the key of knowledge. Especially since often the search for spiritual knowledge is a journey through multiple layers of symbolism and hidden meanings, requiring passage through many stages of revelation.
