Without a doubt about the reality of the sentient world, I continue to look at the rose as it does at the white of the snow: through a variable control of the intensity of feelings, through a continuous adjustment of light intensity, just as when the painter tries to pay special attention to capturing the details in the most accurate light possible. This painter strives hard to obtain a true result from his vision, especially if he manages to integrate with the spirit, with the energies of the earth, with the principle of full equality, in a story full of ingenuity and visual genius.

Something else needs to be said. The rose has a wide eye, as if to treat the world holistically. And he looks at me the same way I look at him: as an artistic expression of a recovering universe, always looking for new means of expanding the border area: between real and imaginary.

And as I look at him covered in the blanket of snow, just as he looks at me dreamily with starry eyes, I remember the “methodical” argument that the French esthetician Victor Basch firmly invoked: “It is extremely difficult to penetrate with the soul of the artist in the deep source, mysterious even for him, from which springs the creative instinct.
