Laura Quinn from the movie "Flawless (2007)" is a capable woman, able, competent, with an impeccable morality. But a priceless jewel, or a simple puppet of the system? From the outside we can see her as a man capable of overcoming the world through a discipline and productivity of work, as a leader who knows how to juggle with the law, but from the inside she manifests itself entirely differently, like a feeble branch in the breeze, like a person for whom the soul feels tired by the experience of loneliness and lack of affection.

Just as Fantine from the novel of Hugo, has sacrificed and lost everything, except the immense love for her daughter Cosette, in the same way, Laura Quinn has risked and lost everything - job, relationships with all friends, and all her colleagues in the company, and she was left only with - this incredible fact, truly magic - the sum of one hundred million pounds.
Even so, only here begins the real story. "I never intended this to happen, but the burden of Hobbs' money sent me in a different direction. I discovered the world, and through it I discovered myself."
Only the one, who has felt the most terrible misfortune, is able to feel the greatest happiness. Laura passed through the deepest darkness, and found the strongest light. She married, had children, the most beautiful life possible , une longue vie heureuse. However - this thing is worth highlighting - for about 40 years, she donated absolutely all the money - because money does not actually made her happy, and not the particular social situation, for which she has struggled for years to earn it. The whole fight, all the endured stress for achieving the desired high status, was actually, in vain.
Futility is the experience of considering yourself defeated in the face of a demonstration of attitude that cannot convince a reality to be subject to the circumstances that affect your life.
Are you a priceless jewel, or a simple puppet of the system? Do you accept plunging into "darkness" fighting a losing battle in the hope of achieving excellence? Do you subordinate all your personal life in favor of the professional development in the company you work for? Is this continuous improvement in your favor or to the detriment of your personal life? Will you be able to stray from the right and honest path, when you realize that you cannot achieve the desired status? Will you be able to bear the consequences of your foolishness?
The modus operandi of each of us is determined by ourselves, and depends on the accurate self-assessment of our Ego’s dimension, with everything is in it (a sum of strengths and weaknesses, tendencies, desires, and so on) but also of the anchorage in the constantly changing concrete reality.
Overestimation as underestimation, the assumption of some responsibilities that are not in accordance with the expectations, can have adverse consequences, constituting a deserved punishment for the "crimes" called persistence and thoughtlessness, as well as for the confinement within the limits of a narrow horizon.
