Trust
Express your relevance through an assumed role on the human stage, where interaction with others becomes a projection of your own vision.
On October 6, 1769, on the New Zealand shores was anchoring the famous captain James Cook. He had information that the natives of those parts are not exactly peaceful, but rather warriors and provocateurs. From the experience gained over the years, Cook knew that to avoid a conflict he had to turn the natives into very good friends, especially since he could not stay too long on that island and his crew badly needed supplies and rest.
Being aware that they must act quickly to avoid any instant attack, as stepping ashore Cook ordered to capture three natives, which he had made prisoners. But this captivity has proven to be a big celebration for them because they were served with many dishes and many gifts were made to them. After a few hours they have been "liberated". Seeing the gifts received by the three natives, the other natives hiding in the nearby forests give up their hostile attitude and agreed to consent with the Europeans".
In this way Captain Cook managed to avoid many incidents in his travels on the sea, and so explains why he remained in the memory of millions of people as one of the most skilled sailors in the world history.
Does your triumph amplify its resonance only when there is a perfect concordance between the shaping of your own destiny and your desire to offer others full access to the values of a new world?
Nothing is more important in leadership than your ability to understand human values and strengthen their trust in you. Identifying some things you have in common with them and achieving a better communication with them is the first condition to be met in order to establish relations of friendship and cooperation. If you want to be more influential, learn to develop and maintain healthy relationships with others, by giving as more credibility. To be trustworthy and fair in dealing with others is the most important characteristics of credibility.
People will trust only someone who will invest in their development. Captain Cook had no choice, but to win the trust of local people. How? Adopting a sociable and friendly attitude. Manifesting his intention to establish relations. Seeking a common ground for cooperation. By giving gifts, or items of the „new world" that they surely will love. His gesture of solidarity created among local people a variety of local pride. The easiest thing that you can build relationships is to awaken in people a sense of gratitude.
In order to establish connections you must focus on giving rather than receiving. If you are selfish you will not be able to create synergies, similarities and common points of interest to facilitate an effective collaboration. Remember, that just as on oil painting the light issues from colour - so in leadership, your influence issues from your ability to relate to others.
Can you redefine your evolution, finding the relevance of a unique profile in the dominant position of glory you are called to reinvent?
Suspicion leads most people to stay away in a kind of unknown individuals who do not grow among them the sense of security and trust. The leader who makes too many plans for the future without taking into account the interests of others, risks to remain alone in time, isolated from the rest of the world. And therefore would not be called a leader.
The place to start is represented by the needs and wishes of people. Orient yourself to them, acting in their behalf to open the door of establishing and maintaining an effective link between you and them. Communicate to them that you want to offer something valuable for them to see that you care about them. To develop and maintain people's confidence in you, make them understand that you focus on what they want. If they do not realize that you're on their side, then they will not be willing to start a cooperation with you.
To realize your triumph is to understand what is happening to you from the point of view of your evolution, seeking the basis of an absolutely unique perspective on your situation at the forefront of a glory that everyone expects from you to reinvent. Leaders do not lie on the laurels of a glory that they have attained at some point but rather continue to evolve to their greatest potential.
Leadership is the position where, after overcoming contrasts, you intensely feel the desired success, assuming the atmosphere of your image through total gratitude.
Trust is the authority you give to yourself by virtue of a glory that does not mean wealth or power, but rather a test of ambition to surpass yourself. I say this because true glory is measured by the ability to remain faithful to a mission, beyond praise or external validation, for only through continuous self-overcoming do you become truly worthy of others’ trust.
