Reduction To Essence
Think first of all of what you don’t need to show to the world, so it becomes clear what exactly you do need to show.
In his work, Eisenstein see everything in gigantic, cosmic proportions and in relation to this is also what he himself calls "the inhumanity of the system of terrible images" (although this obsession of cruelty must also have a different explanation). He confesses that his interest in researching phenomena fades away as soon as things reach the threshold of the narrow stage of human development.
He is always somewhere, at the level of the wise spider. That is why, for example, the theme that always recurs in his work, that of revenge, is seen through a special lens: revenge is, quite simply, a reaction, like a partial annex of the general law of equality of action, like the resistance that dictates the movement of oscillation to the pendulum.
Eisenstein always seeks in his films the reduction to essence. He used to say jokingly that the director is obliged to think first of all of what he needs to not show, and then it will be clear for him what exactly he does need to show. Watching his films, we will notice – for example – a symbolic essentialization through the permanent presence of those three basic elements: water, fire, and earth. *
Does your interest in researching phenomena fade away as soon as things reach the threshold of the narrow stage of development, from the perspective of an image that does not fit into a unique creation?
The one who manages to go through the entire evolution of the relationship between science and philosophy, technology and society, will address the theme of his own creation with a state of hate, hostility, or with an attitude of condemnation, which creates a thick wall between what he tries to capture and what he needs to prove. But the wall can transform into a mirror if you know what you need to address. The image that you objectively capture, in different aspects of your life, is the theme that will constantly return to your creation.
Leadership, oriented towards the representation of the expansion of an individual’s uniqueness, must value the interest in researching phenomena of novelty, defined through the permanent presence of basic elements. And this interest must not fade away as soon as things reach the threshold of the narrow stage of development, meaning, to reach the exhaustion of possibilities of reconfiguring expectations concerning a reality that only you can understand. But rather, it must be continuously amplified by combining basic elements at a certain instance of context.
The main merit of a successful work belongs to the director for the fact that the system of beliefs, synthesized in a theme that wants itself to be the essence of an original idea, or of a certain reality desired into manifestation, ensures the achievement of a state of perfection that can help him capable of bearing the demands of demonstrability of personal theories and truths. Think first of all about what you shouldn’t show to the world, and then you will find the main reason behind the theme that you should use around the image to be inserted in the minds of others.
If you want to become an excellent leader, learn to play the role of a director. First of all, think of what you don’t need to show the world, eliminate all components of known reality, so that you create a particular topic of discussion. At the same time, learn to see everything in gigantic proportions, meaning from a certain viewpoint, assigning each aspect a more pronounced personal meaning that you will constantly highlight.
Leadership is the meaning you attach to a creation whose main subject is not only freedom of expression, but especially the essentialization of an idea that takes shape after years and years, triggering a true phenomenon called: “an amplification of what is within you.”
Reduction To Essence suggests that acquiring of clarity in addressing a specific topic of a screenplay, presented as a surprising finding.
An excellent director manages to show the world his reaction of the type "Only I know this" in the direction of what he wants to change, or in the direction of what the essence of all of his achievements represents, through a particular highlighting of his ideas and experiences.
