The Borders Of The Estranged From The Sunset's Mysteries
Impose yourself in front of others without getting away from the concrete reality that you share with them.
His name was Carson Wells. He loved his job, because it was bringing good money. He loved his life because money were very good in maintaining it. He loved his own way of being, without violence, though endowed with the creative vision of the artist, who does not manifest than within the limits of his own creations, combined with the compulsory civic attitude of an intellectual. At first glance, you would not have said he was a bounty hunter, a spéculateur, a serious device that perfectly answered the purpose for which it was built, a flame that was extinguishing or illuminating according to the pace in which he got the contracts.
And, suddenly, the deadly steps of a shadow were booking place behind him. The sweating seized him like a suffering terrified by the thought of death. He sensed the scourge. But, it was too late. Uh, if he had guessed it, if he had seized it with one second earlier. The one with the poisoned blood, with the soul embittered, already caught him in the spider web.
Like a dark knight without fear and without sin, he could not remove for the last time the half- broken sword, for hitting deadly the opponent, even with the stump. He had to obey fate.
Do you have the ingenuity needed to overcome an impasse from a cause which does not pertain to you, under the conditions of a separation from the factor called "Own Field"?
Two hunters, two torches, two borders separated only by a fine fence of piety: Carson and Chigurh. We are witnessing a paradox: on the one hand, a kind of inner force of support, springing from faith, from a definite sense of righteousness, complemented by its opposite, the reaction force coming from outside, from an inhuman being.
As if they were suddenly smelled the trace of that sinister border, the mysterious sunset that encounters relentlessly every moribund, Carson gathered all his courage and makes a last attempt to save his life:
- You do not have to do that, Chigurh. I'm just a simple speculator. I'll pay you. I give you all the money, and we go our separate ways...
But a cold-blooded creature cannot be persuaded too easily.
- You know what will happen now, Carson, right? You should acknowledge your situation. It would be worthy of you, Chigurh said with the gun pointed at him... Let me ask you something, Carson. If the rule that you followed brought you here, to what it was good? *
Do you neglect the importance of the situation that marks your existence when you think in terms of inherent traits?
The exam of your own possibilities of coping with a situation is given when someone enters the "field" of your own philosophy and involves you in a case that does not necessarily pertain to you so much as it does to the hazard. To separate yourself from your own field means to become someone else’s universe, to be at the service of another human being, to be important through what defines him in relation to the world.
The man, a rational being, acts under and in accordance with his thinking, education and his concepts developed over time. The action is based on some logic, and is determined by a rational thinking / or not, which can generate a beneficial force, or a force that will act to its own detriment.
All people who contribute to your transformation through unique experiences are more or less trapped in your area of interest and responsibility by the thinking that they "get" from you that they adopt and impose, in their turn, to others.
Because you, through leadership, dispose of that inner strength, springing from a categorical sense of ability to change things, a flame that is enkindled for all, whose intensity reflects the one you are in reality.
Inherent features such as determination, creativity and flexibility are outlined by the importance of situations that mark your existence. They are comparative benchmarks, always won and judged by others.
However, this force is always amplified or diminished by its opposite, a kind of reaction force coming from outside, from other people, from other causes, from another "constants of "to be"" seeking to impose by force on the border that separates you, trying to preach their own rules, their own way of thinking and action.
Just as it is in the wave’s nature to want getting over itself, in the same way it is in the nature of the opposing force to want getting over your force, to penetrate everything, to make itself heard, and listened like a superior being that somehow supervises the choices of all others around.
Understanding what you experience can be granted by the acceptance of engaging with someone in the unknown of a situation, whether direct consequences are significant for the course of your life.
At the border between success and failure in leadership lies the opposite force that can alter your ability to remain faithful to the principles of the scales of values that you have joined.
Do you give to the others the opportunity to appreciate your true value? What is the price that you pay in order to keep alive the interest of others? Do you feel overwhelmed by a sense of helplessness due to the force of reaction coming from outside of your own circle of excellence? Do you assume the risk of being misinterpreted their reality? Do you plead in favor a reality, without knowing what to expect?
The borders of the estranged from the sunset’s mysteries bring into focus the consequence of finding out a new reality, of another way of thinking that opposes your aspirations.
Trying to connect to the reality of those people who cannot tolerate very well the idea of an equality, of some principles, and values that would become afterwards moral standards and of quality, trying to harmonize with them mentally and emotionally through an attitude of friendship and cooperation, is most of the times equivalent to failure.
In leadership, it is all about the freedom of others to judge you in comparison with them, and to classify you consequently, justice / the injustice being accomplished through a broad vision and reflection towards their welfare.
In other words, instead of the spectacular meeting process between two opposing forces, with different views, in the formation of a stable area of leadership, it is more prudent to give priority to the criteria of loyalty and solidarity. To be a good leader does not depend only about you, but also about the ability of others to read you, to limit yourself by giving a new meaning to your vision and principles.
Are you trying to connect to the reality of the people who cannot tolerate very well the idea of equality, of some common principles and values? How? Do you know what to expect?
Find the answer to this question before reinventing yourself: "If the philosophy you follow in life will leads you to a dead end, what was it good for?"
Conclusion: Be always one step ahead of others. Develop your ability to predict, within the limits of human reason, the future with all that may bring with it, good or bad. Be vigilant and give ear to the voice of the crowd, and especially of your enemies - because only in this way you can counteract that discouraging force standing in the shadow of every leader.
Impose yourself in front of others without getting away from the concrete reality that you share with them.
