I harbored in my subconscious an abnormal attraction for the strange things, devoid of significance, but revealing and bearing significance through the very way I relate to them. I always had the feeling that something else is sharing my life with me, a constant presence, which sent me messages through a permanent non-verbal communication. An effect with a revealing potential of a confrontation between two human types, two protagonists in the tightly-closed spectacle of life: I and He, The Director And The Magician.

A transition from one state to another. As a kind of exchange of souls that should work easily and smoothly. Without guessing that all this chapter of my life, all this gear in which coupled the two halves that composed my personality, this va-et-vient continu, would turn into a race, where I estranged more and more of myself.

I got it as the prince from the oriental tale, who, breaking seal after seal from the locked doors, finds more and more jewelries and gems, piled up in every room. And, greedier, he takes them by turns, impatient to reach the last one. The spectacle of his life was that of always being in search of something to echo inside him, to make him happy, something to express his inner ills and torments, but he could not discipline his mind to accept the appreciations of a life focused on the relationship with God.

My excesses were more and more of a "selective", fantastic, mystical nature. Forced by an unprecedented intensity, I walked towards the headquarters of a higher authority, of an agnostic consciousness, sinful by the fact that buried or reinvented all my principles and values. My position towards myself, towards my guidance, towards reality, towards society and the world was ambiguous, extremely shaky, dominated by a foreign influence.

Can you take yourself as an example in the construction of the quality of life in order to crystallize a consciousness whose long agony is to separate the individual experience from the experience of a profound conversion to the authenticity and validity of a non-possessive approach?

The magician was caught in a continuous game of mirrors that always reflected a different personality. A strange game that set in motion - in a great way - all the fibers of boldness, strengthening all the too convenient excuses, which justified the lack of the traits’ continuity that characterized the "Man" within him.

He was so obsessed with his art, of the pure acting, consisting in an exchange of identities, faces and different roles. He was not as concerned about his performance on stage, as more of the one resulting from his "live" interpenetration with ordinary people, the small spectators. Insomuch that became perfectly master on his means to impose himself through a disguised form.

The positivity he showed was that he was not willing to enter into the conflict of life consciously and to solve it through a work of purifying the most precious feelings and values of life, but was interested only in the fascination they given by magic tricks and effects. Conscience dictated a single thing: “be as good as you can be in what you do, without undertaking the risk of choosing what you represent as a man broken by the force of life.”

He simply forgot any other human preoccupation. He literally forgot that life could also offer him and other pleasures than the material or professional ones, to intercept the most extensive and complex viewpoints. Like a precious object thrown into the sea, the magician deepened his thoughts into a more and more vulnerable reality.

Do you follow a path that reflects your higher self, or one that reflects your inferior self?

His self, detached from one of the constants of the experience of belonging to a mysterious underground world that will never disappear because it successfully illustrates one of the oldest crafts, that of finding, inventing and reinventing motives to put that part of latent creation into operation, giving hope, creating a meaning, is actually the final stage of authentic success.

A higher self, because it recognizes its perfection in discovering new means of expressing itself beyond any human comprehension. Not a lower self that sustains the predestination of a proud man who knows all the answers but has no answer – a sad experience of the failure and the fragility of the human condition.

And exactly this extreme volatilization of his constant of "to be" determines him to use tendentiously his masks. Everything was spinning mainly around a certain mask, binding a freestanding identity. A white mask, cold as the polar ice, built amid the self-forgetfulness, of ignoring the need to periodically review the conditions that currently prevented him to make a change of 90 degrees. Only this mask held him prisoner in the deep and absolute darkness of his rationality. Of the rationality, trapped in the carousel of a continuous confrontation.

Was this undeniable contribution of the mask, of this panacea, to show that there may be a psychology and a physiognomy of a new state?

Can you climb a rock without being as tough as it is in the case of establishing an identity that opposes sustainability in terms of “vulnerable reality”?

The human purpose that embraces the leadership’s science just as much as the personal development, should not be just to rise to a high level of functionality, but rather to plumb that understanding which misses him. Identifying the formula of transformation and assignation of his own identity coordinates, based on the intellectual, emotional, behavioral, and professional constants, which fulfill the purpose of his existence, he could really bring down his invisible opponent.

The invisible opponent, that Ego, which is exhibited in another one multiplied, that good-"directed" Alter-Ego becomes a constant presence, which dictates him new rules, stopping his functioning and estranging him from the true values and principles. An identity that opposes sustainability in the field of “limited causation” is a reflection of the experience of being part of a scenario whose protagonist lives surrounded by the mirage of a reality purified by the concrete, likely only in the face of the ability to maintain a lush atmosphere.

A redundancy of a functional potential, an accumulation of ideas, meanings, tendencies, accepting another "half" damaging your true identity. Resulting in a negative combination between sustainability and evolution, a slight cutting of your way of being, a desynchronization, and an incorrect arrangement of the reasons behind your actions.

A departure from your way of being that gets you closer, without having to suspect, to a higher authority, to an Alter Ego which always whispers, and orders you to be someone else. And this self-removal is similar to climbing a mountain.

You are climbing on the slope of a cliff to admire a stunning landscape; you are covered by the spell of another temporal horizon. You feel magnificent and powerful. But that does not mean you are a "piece of cliff" it does not necessarily mean that you have a more mature and solid thinking.

It just means that you have reached a level where you abandon some ideas in favor of some new others. It means that you deepen your thoughts into a reality that may become more and more vulnerable by the fact that the new horizon moves you away from whom you were, restricting your old horizons.

Do you allow yourself to be the “man beyond the mask” in the presence of a reality that can be included in a creation full of contrasts, so that you turn the grace of your vocation into an art of reinventing your existence?

To keep that "spiritus purus subtilissimus" which crosses like a creative and universal effluvium the eternal of his being, here, this is the true greatness !

To find the long-sought bridge that completes the two structures defining your existence: Ego and Alter-Ego, and to obey only to that person, who literally can offer you and other pleasures than the material and professional ones, just as your condition to be what you are up to the end, here, this is the real accomplishment, the one that rises you and dissipates any mask !

As regards the "masks" selected for inclusion in the essence of a personality, they emphasize the authority of those who wear them. And, represent, in the leadership’s case, except the study of interpretations that we confer to certain situations, the reproduction of some parts or even of the whole of the "Man". Either per se, either in the form of some chapters from his existence with a wider grip on all that is happening around him, but with an effect of blurring the reality.

Leadership is the reality you turn to as you express your appreciation for everything that means "constructive approaches" and what you represent in a frame full of characters clustered around the excesses of the image that prove to be something other than what the world believes they are.

What is your position towards yourself, towards your guidance, towards reality, towards society and the world? Is it ambiguous, extremely shaky, dominated by foreign influence, by another way of "to be"?

The study of the "magician" with all his peculiarities, as a man and as a leader, was specifically conceived for the human side of leadership. And his masks reflect, in the present study, a vulnerable position of the man, put in front of the transition towards maturity towards accepting his condition of "to be".
