The Dream Of Nicolas Flamel And The Prophetic Message Of The Angel
The idea is this: to distinguish yourself from others through a kind of magic, through a kind of code of hidden knowledge.
One night, Nicolas Flamel, creator of the Philosopher’s Stone, had a dream. But was it a dream, or just an apparition seen when he was barely asleep, a palpable manifestation of destiny? The heavens had opened to let a luminous spirit descend to earth. An angel with a bright face was at the foot of the bed; its white wings filled the room and occupied all the space. The Seraphim opened his arms. He was holding a book with a shiny brass cover. His warm voice, with a sublime timbre, focused in a message with strong emotional impact:
- Look at this book, Nicolas. It seems unknown to you, like to all other people. But one day you will see in it what only you must see and you will know what no one else knows.
Nicolas reached out to take the enigmatic book, but the shape disappeared into a cloud that soon dissipated. A few days later, Nicolas Flamel was in his study, as usual bent over the work table. He was a poor copyist who sold copies of old books to kings and students. He had read many books in his life.
Suddenly, the copyist looked up and saw in front of him a man whom he had not heard enter. The visitor’s face looked sunburned, his clothes were dusty from the road, and he looked exhausted. Nicolas looked at him kindly. It was obvious that the man did not understand French at all. He looked fearfully around him and then, calmly, he opened his bag and took out, very carefully, a rectangular object, wrapped in strips of cloth, made of a fine and rare papyrus. He slowly opened the strips of cloth and revealed a book, which he wanted to sell to anyone who would give him two guilders.
Nicolas felt like passing out with emotion. The book… and this connection… he had seen them before… Everything had been shown to him in the dream he had the night before. The angel had handed him the same book !

And from that moment, everything changed. A poor copyist became one of the greatest alchemists of all time. And the richest of all. And the most famous of all. This, because those born under a lucky sign have real esoteric experiences, from another world, revelations and moments in which they feel special. It is not just about some isolated material discoveries that arouse their interest and the need to know more about the field of some science. But it is about a revelation that brings them the opportunity to get closer to spirituality and to perceive life from another, much higher angle.
Practically, Nicolas Flamel also benefited from another help, a lucky mystical sign, with the appearance of the angel, who unexpectedly communicated to him the motto of spirituality: “Holier, more precious, brighter”. Probably, Nicolas Flamel then asked himself the most urgent question: if even the angels, who are so pure and clean, want to become even better, and more wonderful, and are continually perfecting themselves, then what am I waiting for?
Certainly, the circumstances, the events we encounter are a revelation of being, a confirmation of our way of thinking. And the appearance of the angel denotes the whole essence of a man’s spirit and his way of judging a cause or a certain undertaking, only in that situation in which he discovers his divine side (which he never imagined he had). Sometimes man does not have enough clarity and skill to carry forward a dream, a relationship with the divine nature, and then he cannot gain a new existence or find the way to pass into another dimension or state of the world.

In spirituality, the dream is the only way to communicate with God, a kind of overestimation of the importance of energies, experiences, sensations, perceptions that the creative part (talent and erudition) marked by a certain predestination, by a certain inevitability, denies the danger of “going astray” and accepts the position of intermediary between earth and sky, or as a kind of intermediary between an unavoidable unconscious and a confessed awareness. One thing is certain: the spirit accepts your position as “God’s messenger” on the basis of supreme intimacy.
Leadership is equivalent to discovering small things that can become very important. What you don’t think is possible to fulfill, becomes possible when you develop a great sense of spiritual fulfillment.
The Dream Of Nicolas Flamel And The Prophetic Message Of The Angel say one and the same thing: that the religious feeling, derived from an esoteric dream, is a feeling capable of developing a “holistic” intelligence. Someone said it well, that the dream is an inner crossroads where all the commotion of life resounds.
Spiritually mature people would be said to have grown up in environments where they were allowed to explore and express their natural drive toward the divine, long enough to develop a strong sense of self and a mature identity, distinct from other people. Of course, it is rare to meet a mystic who reveals his secrets by means of a metaphor-symbol of the artistic imaginary, as a kind of work of the divine spirit, because as a rule they keep silent about things that should not be said.
