What you see when you look at the outside reflects the inner space that increases the contrast of the reality from which the outside is fed.

There was a lot of mud, the weather was very cloudy, sleet was expected. I didn’t rebel against the expectations I had about the weather, I didn’t hide my disbelief, I didn’t detach myself from my own self, but I silently accepted a situation that I wasn’t mentally prepared for before the running competition. Important is the image that my eyes caught a few minutes before the start, a representation of the alternative reality showing the same athletes, subdued and calm, but eager to start an honest adventure, without any constraint.

My possible inner drama can be manifested in the way I render now, only through the gray color of the weather, the feeling of the irremediable infiltration of a chiaroscuro space from which the light has been consumed, in a kind of abstract watercolor background capable of facilitating an escape from the hiding of a world, which is not the reality of everyday life. Now, more than ever, I realize the truth that any man can take the risk of a thrilling adventure, but rarely can man triumph over a self that is unable to manifest itself with such force as to block any kind of change.

One could feel the wet and viscous coolness of an aerial “glue”, from which you do not detach too easily, penetrating you little by little, consuming you completely, starting all the rush and all the rush of young blood towards the unique meaning of a feeling much too intense, an emotion shackled somewhere deep that drains you of vitality. It was the tragic infiltration of the black in the light of a very narrow stirring space, from beyond the “crust of reality”, where devastating passions and doubts bubble up, extracted as if from an abstract, unreal, apocalyptic canvas painting.

Can you give a new form to the feelings that remained captive in an image viewed retroactively, so as to amplify the importance of the moment that moved you the most?

Stoic, attuned to the voice of nature, I occupy a safe place in the middle of the painting, like a torch in the middle of the storm, as if waiting to unleash the hell felt only at the level of emotions and thoughts. In fact, the reality in the space of my self, representing the hidden truth, invisible to ordinary sight, became bearable through a kind of mixed vapor of mercy and patience. I knew that I had to risk an escape from a setting that is difficult to admit, a setting that is soulfully related to nature that always surpasses itself, one the artist thinks of down to the smallest details to create the unique atmosphere.

Along the same lines of thought, Ion Frunzetti observes in his criticisms that: “in Rembrandt’s art there is a constant ebb and flow of the line upon itself, an oscillation of the brush strokes that separates the shaded part from the lighted part of the form. Considered reduced on the plane, does not this shape of the clear spot in the picture mean, an ignoble remnant from its incessant tearing, by the claws of the spots of darkness? Do we not discover in it a fleeting existence destined to crumble under the attacks of the shadow’s greed? Do we not feel absorbed by her, by the tentacles of darkness?”

Here is my attempt to escape from a stormy, mysterious chiaroscuro, truly worthy of a painting by Rembrandt, a chiaroscuro that unceasingly coalesces and dissolves in the field of extremely strong tension, passing through my heart like a thick fog, as strong as blood from an open wound. Rather than a struggle with myself, it was a kind of latent antagonism between instinct and will, a gradual and unresisting occupation of an adverse “domain”, as art is seen as domination in its pure state. Thus, I found myself between two extremes, as in any running contest held in unfavorable weather.

Can you see yourself as you are beyond what you think about yourself, consistent with the emotional and aesthetic evaluation of a work of art in which you reflect your feelings?

The work of art reflects the experiences of that artist who exposes his vision of an often overlooked reality. Reality itself, with its subjective experiences, is exposed in art by mirroring the vision in a vision that becomes ambition.

Yes. The hardest thing is to find yourself artistically in a running competition, as a whole, like a little DaVinci capable of awakening an emotion in the heart of the viewer. You lose track of a harmonious, definitive, static enlightenment, only to find it in the fog, in the form of a thin tear on your cheek, and finally you reach a place close enough to the work of art that you manage to see yourself differently, more accurately, from another perspective, that of aesthetic experiences.

An aesthetic experience means, in the realist context, that a person has quite remarkable features that the observer can experience when they are in a similar place. It is something related to the senses you receive when you experience a living reality, capable of suggesting through a continuous metamorphosis that prolonged, linear temporality, constituting the meaning of a state of downright surprising firmness, in all your vulnerability.

Is the hidden living triggered by a representative event the result of the study of sensitivity or the senses experienced in the form of your fascination in front of a creation that never ceases to amaze?

Practically, the aesthetic experience highlights that sensitive reality expressed by the degree of intensity of the beautiful that is released by the awareness of one’s own thoughts and actions transposed in a certain area of art. And this aesthetic experience, divulged through the expressiveness of the image in which I incorporated my feeling, will, intuition and emotion, stands out now through an original creative trajectory, fully manifested, that of an unfalsified internalization that is externalized as an act of confession, of revealing the sensitivity of the athlete and the artist, alike.

If I can say it differently, aesthetic living aims at the possibility of continuous renewal of one’s own consciousness and personal attitude towards life, in the space of a creation where universal feelings find their eternal meaning in precise outlines. And immediately, the aesthetic experience captures that intimate, and sometimes painful, relationship that you have with yourself, through a continuous relationship to light and color.

Aesthetic living itself is the result of the study of sensitivity or the senses experienced in the form of your fascination in front of a creation that never ceases to amaze, considering the composition of an image that supports you regardless of what you want to convey. Equally, this aesthetic experience, highlighted as a sensibility articulated on the subtle levels of color tones, without being alien to the negation and gloomy melancholy of a moment left in the memory, springs from the human need to express the relationship between Self and World.

In leadership, man’s tendency to decipher can be captured in relation to the expressiveness of the image in which he has incorporated his feeling, will, intuition and emotion, so that he draws inspiration from the two extremes: a rebellion against his expectations and tacit acceptance of a situation for which he is not mentally prepared.

The Eyes Show You Everything That The Soul Experiences on the plane of two contrasting realities: a reality in which the soul’s experiences keep you captive in an image viewed retroactively, and a reality of aesthetic experiences that push you to another level and into another form of art.

Only the attraction for the highest beauty, expressible through feelings, can be captured by an unforgettable image. And these feelings that vibrated in me then, striking, unsuspected, flooding me in a certain moment and context, ended up moving the viewer of the final photo. It was the beginning of turning myself into an unforgettable creation…
