Play the role that fits you best, without deviating from the path that is beneficial for your development and of the others around you.

Someone said that life is woven of various threads, the good one being along with the bad one. What about a character in the skin of another character, or a soldier entering the rank of the enemy? Who of these two human types, of these two personalities united by a simple stitch, by an irony of fate, was the good one, and who was the bad one? Llewelyn Moss or Carson Wells?

An unfortunate event, or better said, the fate had rushed with a loaded gun on the two protagonists, regardless of how they acted, putting them face to face, as though together, they could glimpse the mysterious aspects of an alchemy. However, the boundaries between these two natives living under the sign of unpredictability, of these two continents with a past and very different point of view, were separated by an ocean that they could not pass it.

And this ocean, frightening and cruel, to all those who ventured on its scope, which must be crossed at any cost as quickly as possible, lifted up its waves higher and higher above the two ones, without any sign or any glimmer of hope that it will appease too soon. This turbulent ocean was Anton Chigurh.

Why should not we show us stronger, why should not we conclude an alliance in order to drain this ocean of any kind of force? Carson Wells gave to understand this to Llewelyn Moss. I suppose this is not the future that you’ve imagined when you set your eyes on the money, isn’t it Moss? Let's share them, and I will help you survive the storm.

The interdependence and interconnectivity between the two ones, between these two human systems under pressure, each of them under the responsibility of the other one, seemed to strengthen as a result of clotting a strictly necessary solidarity.

Are you prepared to shape yourself as a man of value from the position emerged from the duel: "Two against One" or from the duel: "One against the world"?

But a ship, no matter how solid it would be conceived, can always be struck on the larboard, risking to sink if the crew fails to stop quickly the leak through which the water rushes. At least until it reaches the nearest land.

Like some hunters, who are tracing the hunting, both condemned to the fusion, the two brave rowers start - but on their own - an investigation to track down Anton Chigurh, the merciless assassin. Submitting for this purpose a huge effort in horrendous conditions - survival becoming the heaviest burden.

By themselves in a continuous whirl with negative consequences, of seeking and punishment, Llewelyn Moss and Carson Wells are soundly shaken, then thrown down terribly. Definitively. Deathly.

Like a strange blow of fate, as a consequence of the two ones wicked solidarity in trying to rise to a higher level, as a harsh punishment for having the audacity to put equality into two unequal forces as a way of being in the world and to react to unforeseen situations, Anton Chigurh managed to attract the luck by his side. Thus, earning the right to access, triumphant, the opportunity to fully integrate the human group that knows only evil, and so often the victory.

Do you shape your character in accordance with the characteristics of feelings you represent by going through a process of harmonization with the decisions of a justice of questionable billing?

For your leadership to be improved you must go through a process of transformation. But not a process of degradation. Not that process which, from a poorly refined instinct, without the participation of the ambition or of the truly remarkable will, Llewelyn Moss and Carson Wells went through it in haste.

That false collaboration between them that made huge leaps through the fog, the artificial solidarity that had in its equipment only selfishness, stubbornness, lack of principles, refusal to change, greed, indifference and possessiveness, it costed them their lives.

But always when two are fighting, the third wins. The only winner was exactly the assassin, Anton Chigurh, who took advantage of the lack of close collaboration between the two ones. He managed to move to the next level of excellence (but in relation to the Evil forces) because he backed the access to their world, because he found a place on edge of the abyss, in which it was obvious that they will tumble at one moment.

Leadership is a reaction of mitigating the transitory effects towards a status of autonomy (that of not depending on anyone), when you force the detachment from the immediate circumstances that arise when two fight and the third wins.

Comparing a human type with another, studying the rivalry between them, leads to a new aspect of the individual. A connector, which sets a good relationship with an Alter-Ego, helping to produce a different kind of being.

With the safety of a clockwork mechanism, Anton coupled the power sockets of the excellence with those functional qualities governing leadership, as well as with the effects of the past actions, to a more special gasket - steadfastness and the strength of principle. Reconsidering the fund of skills as a unifying element of a vast change. An alternative to bypass the danger by keeping the ball in the air through successive blows.

I am not defending any of the character, good or bad, but I confine myself strictly to the lessons concerning leadership that can be drawn from the way in which the action took place, and how it were presented the characters in the movie "No Country for Old Men (2007)"

Have you become the prisoner of a world that you cannot perceive instead of serving a certain circumstance to strengthen your position of superiority over what is about to represent you in a role of great power?

To move forward towards excellence at all costs, without detecting and eliminating that worn-out "cell" within you – that dusty characteristic, covered in vices and foreign practices – is like being a prisoner in a world you cannot perceive.

You lose yourself in labyrinths, avoiding the straight road. You despise your own sense of orientation through an absence of response to any factor of stability. You become less and less concerned about yourself; at the same time, you cannot imagine at all that someone else might really need you.

And the problem can become even more complicated than that. You are tricked by your own "justice" that creates you a false impression. A mixture of shyness, panic and aggression that separates you from yourself, from the area where you want to reach. A type of Carson Wells or Llewelyn Moss, who ceaselessly attack each other by a false solidarity. A separation of the role that suits you best. A weak trend of improving the relationship between the partners. A partnership placed under a protective shell, but in fact difficult and hostile.

Or the leadership that directs seriously all its resources towards the human dimension, it is primarily a matter of time and fairness. A way to test your ability to not limit yourself to the standards of a world foreign of the true leadership, in which the gap between you and the others is deepening more and more, in which you are always surrounded by another role, and in which you appreciate the others after a code of dishonor or putting them into question.

The only circumstance that helps you to strengthen your position of superiority over what is about to represent you in a role of great force occurs when you are forced to act differently than your conscience dictates or when you are able to see something good in a person that you cannot stand.

The fatal solidarity, whose punishment flings its condemned shows what happen when you break any connection with the leadership of quality by the absence or inadequacy of a sound and lasting solidarity.

Just as a football player needs to lay under contribution not only his physical resources, but also the intellectual ones, so and you, not to become the victim of a negligence commited due to forgetfulness of self, you must put your qualities of a "Man" in the service of your progress and of the others around you.

Play the role that fits you best, without deviating from the path that is beneficial for your development and of the others around you.
