The Foundation Of Leadership
Take time to discern reality and your own thoughts to increase your level of self-acceptance and motivation.
I still look at your photograph whenever I’m alone. Tell me, to which realities or fictions within you, to which image within me responds this suave face with only dream and feeling, only emotion, interiorization and pathos? And of course, that is how Camil saw me sometimes. I think this constant current is called thinking.
I think of the present as if I were living in the past, with that pain that makes me totally forget the reality of the age that I managed at some point to fight through the universe of dreams, focusing on the aspirations of self-satisfaction that had become the supreme criterion of my existence. Once passed, the moment has no way of returning. I was wrong. I still feel myself trapped in a novel by Andre Maurois, as if he writes about me: “Ah, I only wanted to isolate myself to read, write, to live the life of a writer, which I can inhabit with the characters of my imagination.”
But back then I understood nothing of the life of a writer, especially when he is desperate that he cannot isolate himself, exasperated that he cannot devote himself to philosophy.
Writers love their freedom; they love their craft. Maybe they need more love, more models… what seems to be the source of the most terrible despair. I am always sad, but this can only be seen at times, captive in a life of condemnation. Yes, I want to write a book. Just one. About me. And maybe about happiness. About people who want to be happy. I did not find out why. But I hope that by writing I will understand and maybe I will get a better understanding of myself.*
Can you prove your belonging to a creation that you have acquired during your own life experiences, in correspondence with representing a previously formed image about how to get closer to what really matters to you?
The decision to write is the first step towards self-knowledge, because everything you tell about yourself gets the outline of a creation based on a rich experience, straightforward and long-lasting. It is a process of reflection on your experiences, saying to yourself: “This is how I see myself even when I do not agree with everything I have experienced.”
Affiliation to an act of creation such as writing deepens the relationship between what happens to you and how you interpret every aspect of your being. The first reality of self-awareness, in accepting a particularity of content residing from the production of states of emotional silence, becomes for an exceptional being an adaptable concept of personal reinvention.
It means that you are captive in a space of accumulations of questions and uncertainties, in a present undefined by perceptions, but you manage to give a spiritual meaning to the beliefs that lead you to suffering. Here, leadership, for which emotions do not have to be eliminated because they help guide and direct behavior, gains a self-control valence, a source of power to master one’s destructive impulses and adaptation to a changing situation.
Writing expresses the hope of a mental relaxation, an acceptance of everything that means life from the perspective of a lucidity that can no longer tolerate emotional drifting. What you write about what you feel is the image of a changing world, even if you do not always take part in its events. And the ability to continually improve yourself is related to this form of knowledge resulting from conflicting representations of the possible and impossible to bear, which alternate between what isolates you and what inspires you.
To focus on a previously formed image about how to be closer to what really matters to you means to pursue an overall view of the most important areas of your life that have determined you to be genuine.
People who have reached the highest stages of perfection know that the fruit of enlightenment can occur most often through meditation. Or through the creative act that takes place in this state of awareness directed inwardly, when you submit to a different reality (a sort of process of understanding emotions that overwhelm you), supported only by the relationships between information and completely different explanations.
Dimitrie Alexandru Sturdza, Romania's Prime Minister between 1895 – 1909, once said a very important thing: "Man must constantly feel himself living in the middle of time in which he exerts his action, discerning the possible from the impossible, the feasible from what is unfeasible for the moment in which he lives."
But this moment, in the midst of which reality does it best fit in order to represent a true turning point? In a reality experienced effectively or in an imagined reality? For both the first one, as well as the second one, are used by the great sages to store preferences vis-à-vis their inner peculiarities, vis-à-vis what is true or false, vis-à-vis what is intangible, vis-à-vis what they can achieve or show to the surrounding world.
The emergence of a high self-esteem occurs when you identify yourself with the image of a creation that takes the form of a revelation about life that is attributed to events loaded with much more emotion than you are able to express in words.
If you sprinkle in what you try to represent a few grams of uncertainty, the assumption could be made that, regardless of what the present moment contains, you can give birth to new revelations about yourself. You will be able to find new perspectives and meanings of life, a new order, a new beginning formulation, more suitable and beneficial for your development if you surpass the limit of immediate knowledge, learning to see yourself from the absence of what you are.
Absence is a passing to a different level of consciousness, to a different level of understanding and perceiving the complexity of your own dimension. Both in the living reality, as well as in the imagine reality at any point you can perform a search that will return new landmarks for personal development, and new perspectives of the world.
Leadership is the product of your ability to see reality as revealed by thinking specifically tailored to guide you in actions that sometimes appear to be of little importance, but which are loaded with much pride, with much dignity and with much spiritual warmth.
This Is The Foundation Of Leadership: to learn to understand better from the prism of what is happening to you, through the looking-glass of memory, consciousness, joy, or existential anxiety, because you will always keep in touch with that reality of the inner existence that you cannot deny, cannot avoid, and one you have the obligation of enduring by accepting certain compromises.
The only motivation that makes you move forward with your head held high after experiencing the ups and downs of life is to teach others how to look at the thread of life from another perspective.
