The Great Challenge Of Leadership
Try to introduce a new measure of reality without departing from the role you play in supporting the emancipation of an alternative sphere of influence.
I was a full-face idealist, always looking for new and interesting things, lost in a completely puerile vision and directed in the completely opposite direction of what reality represents. In a way, I seemed to be framed in an artist’s creative space guilty of refusing to accept the obvious.
Like Hamlet’s somewhat reversed figure, but still a slave of feelings that brought only torment and endless troubles over my life, I began to see the world through the eyes of a magician who invokes the spirit of immense power, but fails to make him disappear.
So, I was captivated by my own suffering from an artist’s imagination of recreating a world, but one seen from the perspective of a magician or risk or an alchemist, somewhere between life and disappearance. It was a sweet suffering, reflected only on the screen of consciousness, one that develops the most useful and most sought-after abilities in a man: the lucidity to delimit myself from the rest of the world and the ability to make shows on the stage through the content of disturbing strangeness, offering the experience of living a wide spectrum of sensations.
I invite you now to the opening a wonderful show. There are 40 cool guys on stage, crammed in a fairly tight space, and exclaim with enthusiasm all together: "We, the actors, we’re doing the games ! "
Then, from nowhere, an unknown person appears, but with a genius strategy, worthy of a magician. In one second, he moves the spectators’ attention in the other direction, leaving the actors with their mouths agape in the middle of the scene.
Can you exploit the interpretative aspects of your role through that exemplary existence experienced through the intercession of a spell that spills out any power of opposition?
If you have not yet figured out, I prefer magic instead of acting, however much suffering is involved in doing so. The sad separation from the other artists defeated by the miraculous power of suggestion, hypnotic, worthy of a true showman.
One truth is imposed here with all the evidence: there is a surrealistic man who has no limits to the associations of compositional elements and gives a total freedom of expression. He is not a certain artist, in this case the kind of expiration that can hardly convince the public, but it is the spectrum of a power of unique creation through its sustained vigor and its amazing multilateralism.
I would like to conceive my leadership as an unprecedented visit to the universe of an intellectual of the visual, leaving the image of a supernatural and timeless being to manifest itself. Spectators could detect my presence, but only in the absence of the image that truly represents me. They could interfere with me only through a "Who’s there?", the question Hamlet starts with, which will not fully gain its meaning until it is resumed by Horatio: "What are you?"
Do you reserve the right to judge your own performance according to the image of the reality of a form of art that changes its approach according to the rules of an exceptional performance?
The beauty and importance of magic lies in the fact that you do not have to give anyone explanations about your initiatives, even if everyone tries to explain the mystery of your appearance and disappearance. Involuntarily, the spectators will cast their eyes on those who are immediately on the other side of the stage, where the great challenge lies, where they hide the form of a parabola broken like a universal labyrinth.
I realize by writing these lines that I have already convinced you to form a picture of me. But none of you really know who I am, how I look, and where I am. I will protect my secrecy with obsessive meticulousness as a truce in the technique of assembling a secondary event, enhancing the mystery of a magical power that is projected into your memory as an acknowledgment of an impossible reality.
Is it not absurd to claim that an imaginary existence could be a real existence? For there is little talk of imagining an easy method to conceive of a particular reality and to establish a convenient difference, but to know what is the reality from which the role of man in the mystery horizon descends.
Magic in leadership has as a main advantage the freedom to decide whether to preserve or not an existence between "who’s there" and "who are you", concretized in a picture that fills the imagination, reproducing the reality of a superior power.
The Great Challenge Of Leadership is to reveal your true identity by letting things evolve over time without being hasty, precipitated, or restless because of the less visible way to make yourself known (as author of a creation that can handle the plan of an "artistic" reality).
