I always had a strong sense of predestination, the kind that represents you to the maximum point of absolute value, accompanied by an eternal quest – from temptation to outcome – of what I didn’t know how to fulfill, but to which I looked forward to facing. I couldn’t go on believing in chance, especially because many things in my life seemed to exceed the measure of coincidences between the development of events and the scenarios so often imagined. It was the case for me to experience a new image, a new approach to the concept: "Go forward in the future, and never go back ! "
The certainty of my existence, which I hunted so frantically over the years, and the meaning I tried to give to this certainty, was due to the consciousness of a certain superiority, in the form of dreams, which managed to return in my own responsibility of acting without fear and without blemish, such as the blood returning to the heart through the veins, circulating without any obstacle.
In the context of the life of the one who knows and composes everything, of the master of the alchemy that composes and decomposes within his magical crucible the elements found in a state of fusion, was given first of all the test of the ambition of leading an expedition that will stay in the memory of time for a long time.
The expedition, the separation from the world, made by all the rules of a compromise signed with myself, the belief in an impersonal creator God in the time of my refuge in a state of contradiction, without knowing where to focus my efforts, it was the beginning of a refusal granted to the temporary, the duty of remaining unchanged in the face of a round mirror that reflects the true visage of the perpetually youthful protagonist. Only the journey into the unknown of darkness managed to mature me.
Mirror, mirror, on the wall ! Who’s the overpowered playable character inside the vortex core of Life?
Leadership: Are you ready to defeat what you had to discover on your own, as the coincidences between the unfolding of events and the scenarios so often imagined by your mind and hidden inside your being?
I never thought I would see myself crossing the path full of ridicule of Don Quixote, towards the great dream, catapulted into a world of stories where everything becomes plausible and authentic, encountering the shock of the experience of decisions full of daring, as an acrobat who jumps without a safety net in the virtue of adverse consequences. Fighting with unrealities the like of mills, going through the depiction of a fallen angel, an agent of resentment and negation, I managed to mobilize even my last breath of tiredness, because even suffering has meaning through the fact that it can be endured.
To accept the particularism of only what is allowed, forced to pay attention to the distance that separates the king from the subject, without the strength of nerve which forms a hero. To endure the fluctuations of the tension of the inner voice, which repeated to me over and over that the world hides only illusions, in correlation with their frequency of vibration, without seeking to listen to the sound of time that passes through matter. This is what it meant "to defeat what I had to discover on my own ! "
It was increasingly irritable the presence of the shocks of my weakness towards the receptors of those human laws that resulted in finding the contradictions of a thinking that tried, involuntarily, to defend the purity of a new part of life. All the ups and downs, destiny mounted for me in parallel with the effort of giving them meaning, without the possibility of offsetting the fastest variations of power – the power of a virtuous living, in terms of morals that double any valuable or specific act, deepening the significance of the superior manifestation of will.
The world is flat anyway, I thought. Later I found that it is round, same as the mirror that reflected me.
Leadership is part of facing a double exposure: first, you expose yourself to an experience that could complicate your vision of the world and then you expose yourself to a freefall where you should be stronger.
Leadership: Are you ambitious enough to take the present into the memory of the future, under the sign of the glory of being more than a transient being?
Imagine a man without a bright future, an unknown being, but one who discovers, at around midlife, the power to change the future through the responsible exercising of will. Look at Magellan, limping and stumbling over, and yet showing the world that the daring deed is accomplished through the constant pursuit of an ideal inscribed in the slogan "You either succeed or you die". And look at Columbus, existing only through desire, crossing the Atlantic Ocean, following a chimera which seemed to never materialize.
As a brilliant painter manages to create a masterpiece out of nothing, so too have they given the purpose of their search a meaning engraved on the granite of world history, something noble, a short whisper in the silence of eternity: the glory of discovery !
And let us not forget how the famous writer, Stefan Zweig, characterized powerful ambitions: "In the depths of a great soul lives unflinching the restless spirit of research. If ever a thought possessed such a man, if it obsesses him to the last fiber of his thinking and his feeling, then within him is produced an endless inner fever. A living thought never wants to live and lose itself in a single mortal being. It demands space, world, liberty. Therefore, for it ticks the clock in which its vital idea tries to storm from the inside out, as a splinter in a finger infected with pus, as a baby in a mother’s body, as the fruit ripped of its shell. A man endowed with passion and pride will not bare eventually for him alone to think of his vital idea. Irresistibly, he will eventually have to ask for everyone to share it with him."
Leadership is a demonstration of an idea of who you are in terms of what you can accomplish that everyone shares with you.
And remember the words of the Lord, that for 2000 years cross the hearts of great discoverers: "If you want to reach the Great Kingdom, abandon everything and follow me ! " Because, really, you must start off on a long expedition, fiercely face it in order to obtain total victory in the battle with "the devil of fear" and hold on tight to what you want take forward. This is the privilege of Angels, to exist in both dimensions: that of life and death, in the face of any experience.
The Great Kingdom is a direct consequence of a successful expedition. It is the equivalent to the great revelation you reach only through Promethean efforts, it is the symbol of the ambition of a colossus in facing a threatening and unknown world.
It corresponds to the Grail found by Percival, this forgotten gem that encompasses the very best in man, a form of absolute, the divine fire, the role of the unit of measurement you have to offer to the universe. It is the result of a profound search in the aspect of life satisfaction, which brings you close to the fulfilment you always dreamed about. It is the symbol of the externalization of the manifestation of will, made with the intention of creating, modifying or extinguishing the relations with the world. Having an echo towards the characteristics of inborn human qualities, but passed under the projecting wing of the moment that is born and lost at the same time in the "mists of time."
The merit of every great discoverer, in any field, is that he has the courage to depart from the world and start off on a journey in the middle of an unexplored ocean. And every such conqueror of new territories, under the empire of the strong ambition of distinguishing himself through steadiness, will be permanently inspired in his journey by the words of grace that Queen Isabella gave to Christopher Columbus before his last expedition, decisive:
