The Image With Which The Eye Widens Its Horizon

The ability to look at an image in an artistic or profound way cannot be developed in any other way than by observing and analyzing the images in which you find yourself reflected by the "other you".

When I look around, the interesting thing is that I can see everything, even the hidden meanings of things, or the hidden faces of people, more easily intuiting the causal links between deterioration and progress. And one can see how absurd it is to change a view or a cause, handcuffing reality in an alleged insularity that includes only the imagined form of a concrete knowledge, taken to an area forbidden to anyone's access to divine supremacy. People, as well as things, are from the point of view of the artist's eyes, islands that sink, disappear in the sea under the light of the burning sun, without being found. Only in God's eyes is everything found.

I am, as we speak, watching a man jogging, trying to conserve his vitality and energy with his every step, in perfect harmony with the rhythm of his pulse and the fleeting flight of his thoughts. He has a deep, expressive look, which can be immortalized in a painting by Grigorescu, as a Universe within a Multi-universe, because in his eyes are reflected the serenity of a pure world, the mystery and the incomprehensible beauty of the surrounding landscape. As I keep looking at him with unwavering curiosity, as if I wanted to penetrate his secret world and reveal his hidden thoughts, I see myself enjoying life, contemplating this life in all its deep and complex nuances, in all its ephemeral splendor.

Without a doubt, this man is an artist, because I knew how to see an artist in him, even if he was just another man among other people on the beach. In his mental landscape, where it becomes necessary to approach credibility, and not photograph reality, I get lost as in a labyrinth full of contrasts, memories and dreams, where every color, every shade, is an opening to another world. The artist himself becomes, through mirroring in his work, my guide through these captivating and magical worlds, and with each glance cast on their imaginary canvas, my memories and dreams come alive.

Can the image to which you give a figurative representation stimulate your clairvoyance while also facilitating your inner visualization?

I'm on an unreal beautiful, isolated island with millions of milk-white pebbles. The Ionian Sea in western Greece is pure nature, wilderness, where turquoise dominates first and foremost. Obviously, sight helps me grasp this isolated world, which hides unknown stories, in a theme that encompasses nature in all its splendor, with the risk of losing the sense of orientation in a time of no return.

In this way, I pretend that I need a new frame to paint a barely visible scene, the meeting between a painter and a god. It is the vision of the artist who, seeking the solitude and tranquility of the islands to cultivate his imagination and to bring his creations to life, manages to reveal a subtle presence hidden in every piece of creation.

Man became another man, because his gaze included another similar gaze, capable of penetrating the meanings of art. But still, it is a different look through the colors and shapes he discovers in every sunrise, in every grain of sand, like a memory of the time spent in a living, impressionistic painting.

And if I have seen someone who looks like me, living in a perfectly reflected form in my mind, it is because my very creation is a game of constant substitution in which I explore multiple identities and perspectives to reveal the deep layers of my self.

Can you create a visual image highlighting the contrast between two figurative entities silently collaborating to become one introspective manifestation?

Again, my eyes catch the appearance of another man on the beach. And their gaze is similar, they are both artists because of their eyes directed towards the same points of interest, seeming to see the same things. However, I can't figure out if the two of them are different, or if it's just one in two poses at the same time: viewer and creator. After all, all my life I have done nothing but turn life into fiction, as if there was always another person watching me, a divine presence, a god, a creator who sees beyond appearances what remains unnoticed.

I also encountered such a coincidence in John Fowles' novel:

"After all, what was I? I was nothing but the sum of my many wanderings. The Freudian jargon of the trial made me smile, but all my life all I did was turn life into fiction, refusing to face reality. I had always behaved as if there was another person watching me, listening to me, and giving me good or bad marks -- for everything I did. A god. Or a novelist to whom I turned, and I was his character, able to doing exactly what he had to in order to please, vulnerable to his insults, able to adapt to whatever he thought the novelist-god wanted.

I myself have created this variety of super-ego, like a leech. I myself have nurtured it, and because of it I have always been unable to act freely. It had been my defense system, but soon enough it had become my own tyrant. And now, I realized, but it was too late. I sat on the shore and waited for the dawn to break over the gray sea..."
