The Infinity Of Mr. Hobbs

Mr. Hobbs was a simple office cleaner , but he worked in one of the largest global corporations, led by the world’s most astute tycoons, who conducted their business in the colossal diamond industry. Fate wasn’ttoo kind to him. His past followed him everywhere. However, his conscience could not deny that, though old, he was looking brave ahead – but with the pride of that harsh and vengeful spirit of the firm and unshakable Mefisto. Did the angel turned into a demon?
A keen eye can easily notice, following the orderly, but disturbing existence of this old man – as part of a scientific analysis carried to the extreme – the multiple convulsions in his internal circuit, points of maximum voltage that estrange evermore from his true nature, values of elements that give rise to a strange friction.
What is his true motivation? What is the nature of these electrons that intermittently collide in his inner forum?
Well-mounted in the stand of his existence, each sensor generates a different current, always indicating another tension, ever more abnormal, evolving as a whole, as a coordinated response of a great variety of emotional disadvantages, inaccurately oscillating between two values: "plus" and "minus" – which can be assigned to a single variable: Revenge !
Leadership: Are you able to develop an attitude of superiority to what happens to you while you are on the road of life by designing a horizon drawn from the boundlessness of a feeling hanging on a thick thread called "deserved reward"?
And how will you do that? It was supposed to be a solo operation, but it turned into a rare duet, a compact unit with more power. Like a poacher on the hunt, Mr. Hobbs wakes up next to a wounded lioness, takes care of her, they both set the same target and proceed with the attack. Their reward, if left with a victory, meant acquiring a wealth with no end.
In other words, his desire for revenge against corporate managers is doubled by Laura Quinn – who is also torn by sorrow, pain and fatigue, and driven by the same impetuous desire. They both want to submit the dragons to this treatment, developing a special technique to prepare the battlefield, stimulating their intellect beyond anything one can imagine.
- Do you want to enter the corporate vault and steal the diamonds? You can’t be serious ! How will you manage that?
- Only I know… and dare, Mr. Hobbs replied, as if quoting the ambitious Eugène de Rastignac, from Balzac’s work.
- And how do you plan to find out the safe combination?
- That’s where you step in, Mrs. Quinn.
Their ambition is reinforced by the test they simultaneously submit their own power and will to. Ultimately, their plan hits its target. Their revenge takes effect from its first application.
But we will never forget the dialogue between Mr. Hobbs and Laura Quinn at the end of the movie "Flawless (2007)". This combination of united forces, whose trajectories, intersecting, challenged their characters:
- Do you think it was worth doing all this for your cause, Mr. Hobbs?
- Oh, yes ! I would even spend a hundred lives in prison for my cause. Maybe one day, you will understand, Mrs. Quinn.
Leadership: Can you set yourself up as a way of facilitating a complex decision-making process, so that you can perfectly reproduce the beginning of a new world from the perspective of what is going to happen?
Are you a hunter who hunts himself? Do you look forward with the pride of a harsh and vengeful spirit? Which are the maximum voltage points that remove you more and more from your true nature? What is your true motivation and what effect does it have on others? What is the nature of those electrons that intermittently collide in your inner forum?
The place of leadership, its ownership and exploitation in the world of tomorrow through your own thinking and your own system of operation implies a preference or a certain inncer appreciation in the context of increasing the tolerance level of harmful actions, frustrations and uncertainties, ambiguity and risk.
The hassle, maybe justified, but extremely tough sometimes, with far-reaching impact in your existence, can degenerate into visible tears only when the dreaded "disease" has grown so much, that it can hardly be cured.
This disease is nothing but the manifestation of a reality that you have never really wanted. That manifestation of will, by which you force yourself to become a dodgy leadership prototype, a device that does not promise much, which seeks only to accelerate tension – increasing your own pulse and completely disabling the pulse of others.
Like two electrons intermittently colliding in your inner forum, these two pulses rather offer clues to your weakness, a limit to your own helplessness, an impoverishment of your own nature – that lead, under the influence of their own laws, to a strong impairment of the ability to perform a positive change in your own consciousness. You become your own stalker, a hunter who hunts himself, a poacher who falls into his own trap.
Leadership: How dark is the infinite that you carry in yourself from the point of view of a seemingly impossible project that has a very strong social message: "Get up and talk about the unspoken"?
Mr. Hobbs managed to save Laura Quinn from a physical and emotional exhaustion, but with a price – carrying her along a bleak affair, a huge risk, a regression in other plans of her personality.
But let’s ask ourselves with a certain amount of concern: Did Mr. Hobbs managed to save himself? Or did he just comforted his feeling of revenge? For he has functioned as an eternal victim of consciousness – by always invoking the past, perceiving everything by fulfilling a goal that incessantly devoured his soul.
Behind this question, we can discern the limit of his own character, his new status in society – a conditioned causality. He lives on with the conscience of his moral command – liberating or destructive?
The French writer Victor Hugo noted with sadness: "What a solemn thing is this infinity which every man bears within him, and which he measures with despair against the caprices of his brain and the actions of his life ! "
Leadership is tiring and complex. My belief is that you will be able to embrace this science only if you manage to take responsibility for this "infinity" that you bear within you, which may also reflect its effects on those around you.
Measure your will and deeds, drive your own reality and that of others in the desired direction, without functioning as an eternal victim of this ambiguous and reverse infinity – "conscience", which can cause more harm than good, more anxiety than joy –for you and others.
"Get up and talk about the unspoken" is the message that you can pull from a life of fulfillment by freeing yourself from the pain caused by a world that has shown itself to be more and more oppressive.
The unspoken are the crumbs of soul that are not peppered by ignorance and the eternal "Nothing new under the sun", but those who are glide outwardly empowered with the hopes or pains of others, impressing through the superior entity of a life that has been found to be the ideal way to materialize in a vision without frontiers.
The infinity of Mr. Hobbs symbolizes faith, hope, the emotional flame that can hardly be kept in check by this constant, of becoming or degeneration, called conscience.
