The Internalization Of A Spiritual Experience
An artist in the use of symbolic representations needs an afterlife to be able to explore and understand his distinct dreams in almost divine terms.
If someone had told me, in a dream of divine inspiration, that one day I would embrace the highest knowledge, santa conoscenza d'altri tempi, even at the moment of possessing a secret that gives meaning to my life, maybe I would have thought of myself as a saint. And if the same someone had transposed himself into a talking rose, symbolizing the attribute in which the Creator is revealed, then perhaps my perpetual becoming would have been written like the 1001 Nights: with that continuity of sand grains that reorganizes constantly the dune architecture of an oriental story.
Now I am sure that this was the hand of chance, to which it is enough to refer in writing or painting, with pen or brush, as if I were trying to see the effects of the Flower of Life drawn in comparison with the printed symbol of Vitruvian Man. Everything was revealed in a dream to the one whose light would pass undivided, through UNITY, in the mystical narrative of the adventure of a soul on its way to the completion of an overall picture of phenomenal reality. And this soul is sensitive to the dominant and innovative tendencies of art, because it has obtained all the appreciation of the Creator even before entering this world.
Science is the result of the meeting between the artistic object and the artist, under the mantle of sanctifying a painting that has become emblematic.
I readily admit this. Like any dreamer who has been struck by a passion for art, I believe that I carry in me the spirit of another dreamer who encourages a passion for science. No wonder the origin of the words written by me with an enchanted pen is found in one of the points of the theme “El Por Siempre Ahora” that the artist displays in proportions, volumes and color, to outline a suggestive portrait of the saints from the discipline of sensitivity and imagination by reason.
What does your creation express from the height of a gaze that indulges in the requirement to reveal certain sides of reality in the spirit of a “symbiotic” perspective?
If the artist’s brush does not link these points with a light color, then the writer’s words will have spiritual emptiness and provide negative meanings, and the writer’s vision will be lost in vain. Therefore, the pen and the brush are complementary to a theme of revitalizing art with new themes of expression, but only if they have a common origin: “The unseen hand that controls chance.”
Why am I so sure that this is the true understanding of my sense of being in the middle of the artistic avant-garde of the present moment? Because whoever looks carefully at my writing, as only the brush can comprehend its coefficient of value, its dynamic aspect and its authentic character, will be able to capture the measure of an exceptional creation stretched over centuries as a perpetual becoming of the artistic phenomenon. The easel is proud of my art, just as I am proud of God’s Grace to penetrate His action into an entire Universe.
In the case of an adjustable, comprehensive easel, stretched with the measure of classical painting, so necessary to render an art of dream life, in a cosmografia del minor mondo, I consider that any brush that encompasses it from one end to the other starts from the tip of an enchanted pen, full of mysterious whispers translated into verbal mysteries, which writes in another dimension.
Yes, the dream prophesied to me the victory of the sciences, In nomine Patris et Filii, Spiritus Sancti, obtained first by the force of the pure word, deeply meaningful, strongly spoken, placed in the space of beauty in the form of a vision of nature and man of a great beauty and plastic nobility. No wonder my creation expresses that relative state of concordance between experiencing and living a union of the soul with God through polyvalent artistic grace.
Does the knowledge that favors the evolution of your art manifest itself visibly in the sense that, by living a direct experience of the mystery of God, man recognizes himself as the image of a distinct reality?
The reason for why my pen rejects certain parts of literature and approves others of the art of painting, is to clarify and draw attention to the fact that any brush, touching the easel with divine mastery, is found in the form of Axis Mundi, mediating contact with the Heavens and with eternal life. Especially the brush, governing and strongly influencing the artistic field, can permeate in the memory of time a new conception and thinking, just as the pen succeeds in literature.
In the case of writing, my passion leads me to Mesa Selimovic’s writing, built in honor of a story experience, in such a way that I feel lost in the thoughts of the young dervish Ahmed Nurudin, in a moment of wandering:
“I threw myself blindly, with delight and passion, into combating the mysticism of Ibn-Areba, realizing, perhaps for the first time, that the heavens and mysteries of the universe, the mysteries of death and being are the most suitable realm in which you can refuge from earthly worries. If they did not exist, they would have to be invented as a shelter. Or, in the verses of Ibn-Areba it is said that only the elect, only the few, are given to know the divine wisdom.”
And what do I have left, reading these? It remains for me to know what I can comprehend with the brush on the easel, conversing more with the brush, as well as with the easel, on the same subject: extracting words and expressions from the painting technique I have in the work. Given the combined action of several agents, including the “fast pace of execution”, it is necessary to visibly expand the understanding of the meaning of symbols using as a decoding tool a pen whose property is to purify ideas, strengthen, capture and introduce the energy of the Absolute in the aura of a perfect artist.
The brush also opens in front of the soul of the pen, capturing in color, discreetly, that moment of feeling that I would like to keep forever, bringing to attention the technique of geometrizing a divine face. I know that I can’t be caught in any image by anyone you might want to look for in the world, but that’s the way it is with a great writing artist: it only gives his pen a chance to build a real image, from thoughts, words, silences, and their paradoxical way of later joining the Father in the divine act of producing other Sons.
A man who recognizes himself as the image of a distinct reality is an artist who associates the elements of visual expression (point, line, color, shape, plane) with living a direct experience of the mystery of God, from which he learned the virtue of uniting “an existence with an essence”.
The Internalization Of A Spiritual Experience focuses on the aspect of uniqueness represented by the connection formed between a cognitive, elementary activity, which creates symbols, and the intensity of the soul connection between two worlds: a world of writing and a world of infinite possibilities and ways of artistic expression.
