I have tried many times to approach that magnitude of an extra image given by the model of as perfect of an earthly reality as possible, without hearing the voice of the mysteries that await the release of the sacred word, shouting incessantly “take care how you elaborate your creative part ! ” It was there, always around me, conceived as actualitas, the identity of a power that unites the earthly force with the superhuman energies in a framework of prayer, love and friendship that builds on the sensitive knowledge of an intelligent spirituality, of a special nobility.

The rose you makes you see things differently.

At one point, I had thought that everything was born from a brief moment of reflection in a mirror that continues to be seen larger than it is in reality. I thought that the artist only lifts his soul with what he looks like and decides his fate through a passage in a parallel universe, feeling at all times, like a sword of Damocles, a command that comes from further away and commands more powerfully than yelled out by the surroundings: “Don’t forget that everything is coming back sooner or later ! ”

Do you treat reality through the lens of beauty, making the personalized portrait the starting point for an image of remarkable visual power?

I don’t know what my rose in another universe would have looked like, but I will forever keep in memory the image of a lonely, noble, enigmatic and sad warrior. Thus, a personification with the compound noun “good faith” cannot be avoided in a deja-vu context, highlighting a sense of the character of great artistic force, with model value, and of his very intense life, the basis of an easel technique, a self-discovery and a state of transcendence.

The rose looks at me with a certain insistence, as if was dominating a world in usual appearance, but in miraculous reality. It is the beauty of a superlative look. Causal agent of the limitless time syndrome. I feel its presence full of emotion, but also full of intrigue, as a refuge in the face of a hostile world, as a corner of my creative life where I can say everything that goes through my mind, without complexes, without fears, without prejudices.

After all, the calm of a majestic nature is revealed in the state of mind generated by a reality of fragile contours. And I believe one more thing: that the essential always remains invisible to those who seek strength only in tension, and not also in spirit.

Do you choose to maintain a clear visibility of your ideal of purity, as you navigate an artistic path whose interpretation redefines your limits?

It looks at me as if I were a wonder, as if I were the first man to understand its mystical implications, to empathize with it, which gives it all the attention only a hero in “The Never-ending Story” craves for. And that introspective dreamer by the name of Bastian, placed in an alternate reality, which symbolizes (like the rose) the consciousness of a permanent spiritual renewal, often nourishing his soul from the image of an authentic aspiration belonging to the past:

“And even if he were to suspect anything, he still wouldn’t have given too much importance to such memories. Forgetting was happening imperceptibly, and when the memory was gone completely, he thought he had always been that way. And so, his desire to be beautiful was appeased, because someone who has always been beautiful does not want such a thing.

When he reached this point, he began to feel some dissatisfaction and a new desire arose. Just being beautiful is not a big deal ! He wanted to be strong, stronger than everyone else. The strongest of the strong ! And being beautiful and powerful is priceless unless you are steel, durable and spartan ! "

Bastian wanted more than the beauty of an image indelible from the passing of time, much more than the expressiveness of a sincere smile. He wanted to be the possessor of a brilliant mind. A new variant of a universal masterpiece. He wanted to experience the value of a divine union. A super power in a new reality.

Does your creation align existential vision with reality, under the sign of respect for providence, expressed through the idea: 'The true measure of a man is the hard blow of his destiny'?

Knowing that every time I formulate an image of mine based on a resemblance to a rose, a proper meaning is replaced by a figurative one, thus respecting an understood agreement between an existential vision and an appropriate artistic language, I will console myself with the fact that the overlap of events well known over the condition of being that discreetly combines fragility and infinity is a pure coincidence.

This image enhances the effectiveness of expressing oneself in a process of self versus self faced with an omniscient entity.

A long time ago, I read Mika Waltari’s novel, “The Dark Angel”. The hero for whom time always worked in his favor, Ioannis Anghelos experiences remorse through prayer shortly before the fall of Constantinople in the hands of Sultan Mehmed II. With the drops of water running down his cheeks like tears, he prayed in his heart:

“Have mercy, have mercy on me, You, whose nature cannot be explained ! If there is a meaning in this, allow me to be born again on earth ! Give me back the imprisonment of my body, give me back the chains of the ephemeral time and the bounded place, to feel once more in my hand the hand of a man. My sin was that I despised Your chains and hated them, even though they were the gift You gave me. I am the weakest, the most collapsed, the most despised of men, for I have imagined that I am strong, not only before men, but also before You.”

Does this projection of self-image represent a quest for perfection, or is it merely a visual experimentation with the limits of your own inner strength?

I never forgot these words. The whole world seems a moment frozen in a historical monologue, a reminder of consciousness we experience along a line running from a Perfectionist hand, a line through all the feelings of humanity through a broken light shade. Everything gains absolute independence in this ephemeral life, like free will in a deterministic setting, in a style of “I can choose between two different options”, but there is a mysterious force that always changes the most important chapter of each destiny, according to a broader plan.

I have not yet cured myself of forgetting what makes me human, with the assumption of what I had long to admit to myself according to the Bias of Priene provision: “Gather nothing but wisdom. It is the only good that fate cannot take from you.”

The synthesis of feelings and thoughts into a complex image becomes an act of self-analysis through reflection, defined by the duality between strength and vulnerability.
