Tormented by his own creative activity, Eisenstein didn’t pay any attention to the horrible living conditions. One day, director Eisenstein coming from a rehearsal for "The Mexican", had left his piece of black bread on the electrical panel in the theatre.

Alexandrov, the newest addition to the group, was hungry and he threw himself at the bread and started to eat. When Eisenstein noticed, he picked on a horrible fight with him. Then Alexandrov managed to explain to him that he hadn’t eaten in two days. Then, Eisenstein, who managed to eat the previous day, gave him the rest of the bread. This way they started a very close friendship that would last over ten years.*

But if you gave yourself time to know them better, you’d find infinite resources of unconditional love and sincere friendship within them."

Oh well, this second reality doesn’t contain a unique purpose in itself, with a truth that must be understood in all its clarity.
