The Secret Language Of Leadership (II)
The more people grow accustomed to your presence, the more their readiness to accept you validates your capacity to be present in their lives.
What a transformation ! Do you remember the end of the movie? The manager changed his attitude after Vivian advanced his transformation from a prostitute attitude to a lady attitude. This time, he expressed gratitude and pride, being seized by that sincere and total admiration for Vivian, considering her one of the most interesting persons that he had ever met.
The manager kissed her hand with that delicate caution with which you touch something fragile and, looking in her eyes full of a sincere admiration, he addressed her with a warm voice, a gentle and even affectionate tone and with a trace of sorrow in his heart:
- Vivian, it was a pleasure meeting you. Come and visit us sometimes. And, furthermore, he puts at her disposal the hotel's limo to take her wherever she wants.
Just as the Church has the duty to save people's souls - so quality leadership aims to transform leaders in better men. The surest and most effective way to determine others to stop considering you a person with authority and an unfriendly being is to express yourself in accordance with their own feelings. Letting the others to adjust to your presence and your leadership, many of them will change their attitude and mentality.
Do you dare to confer a new dimension to the concept of 'quality' through an original positioning relative to the mechanisms that generate a 'reset value'?
The manager eventually fell in love with her. He showed an expression of happiness so perfect and so pure, being deeply pleased of meeting her. In a way, he even felt bad that he didn't communicate more with her during her stay there.
The manager perceived the true essence of everything that was good in Vivian and learned about her true desires. He realized what kind of person she was, how her true nature was, what her aspirations were; he sensed what her intentions were – those of changing her life, and thus he got to reconsider his attitude toward her. He loved her more than he loved any other client.
The best thing you can do for your leadership is to cover it with feeling. You tend to keep away everyone you interact with? If so, then you risk getting hurt in your own pride, as the hotel manager.
How does the quality you seek in others mirror your own value when it is filtered through the refinement of consciously embracing an authentic experience?
If people receive from you a certain kind of acceptance, they will give you a little more confidence. Be open to their offer to remove the dense darkness of your soul, and thus you will be spared by much trouble and misunderstandings.
The quality you want someone to have is equivalent to the value you give yourself in the conditions of a form of revealing fragments of pure sincerity, those grains of reality that reveal the unconscious source of thoughts expressed differently with generosity.
The value of resetting the someone’s profile, only to the extent in which you find what in what limits is his influencing possible through suggestion and to what extent can be exerted the suggestions that exert negative influences, coincides with its attempts to overcome the limits imposed by the stereotypes of "rebellious youngster" (a tributary of materialistic thinking that has at its core living in the middle of the world, of the whole).
Do you carefully calibrate the factors that foster authentic reactions, so that a person can reveal their true nature without feeling vulnerable or invalidated?
To get out of ambiguous situations, when you can’t find out anything about the hidden things of the man before you, you have to often opt for momentary alternatives that do not meet the requirements of relating to a consistent system of references. Such an alternative has the objective to correctly identify the match between the human profile and its attributions, between empathy and objectivity, or between its context of life and its context of performance.
For example, by analyzing the activity and attitude of a person from the perspective of personal experience, which may favor the emergence of an unmet need of authority, we find that the hidden thing has nothing wrong within itself, but requires a certain mental and spiritual mood that facilitates a certain type of communication achieved through gestures, facial expressions, habits, reactions, replies, tendencies, etc.
At what point in a transformation process does resetting your psycho-behavioral profile become a necessity to achieve an original style, liberated from any external influence?
The hidden detail that no one notices at first in a man, since it requires an in-depth analysis of temperament, character, culture, age, etc., can be reconstituted from his consumption of frustrations or favors. What exactly does he ask of you so that you will not disregard his pride, opinions, values or needs? What exactly are you able to give him so that he will never want anything more?
The factors favoring the occurrence of suggestive situations, where you use a suggestion-like behavior, assuming an initiative, an advice, an observation, are represented by how the individual is exposed to experiences experienced through joy, not through troubles.
While the induction of a suggested response, as an expression of impact on the human psyche, depends relatively on how interested the individual was in knowing his purpose and role in life. This answer is in fact an acknowledgment of sentimental / social failure, or an acknowledgement of the greatness of preserving within the soul only that which was beautiful and worthy to be cherished.
The clarity of one's self-image depends on the realism of the ratio between the meaning an individual confers upon their life and the role they assume in relation to others.
The Secret Language of Leadership designates the way you react to other's feelings and needs, to whatever happens around you and to the way you relate to others.
Express your positivism and trust toward everyone. Use a personal manner in which to disclose to people – through the way you communicate with them and how you relate to their needs and feelings. The secret language of leadership reflects your attention to the motivations of those around you.
The way you perceive people, the way you accept them around you, the way you « choose » them and the way you talk to them establish the dimension of your leadership. You will be able to differentiate yourself from other leaders only if you listen to people and leave time to change them.
Conclusion: As a leader, you must know people's feelings, needs and aspirations. Therefore, you must be close to them, especially in critical moments, and give them the opportunity to change.
Assess properly the feelings of others, for the dimension of your leadership to grow.
