The Spirits

Urge your Ego to gain a superior identity in the face of others, giving meaning to a deeper reality.

- Maximilien – said Monte Cristo – the friends I lost do not rest in the dust. They are buried in our hearts, and God willed it, so that we can have them eternally by our side. I have two friends who always accompany me so: one of them is the one who gave me life, the other is the one who gave me intelligence. Their spirit, both of theirs, lives within me. In moments of doubt I ask for their advice, and if I am to do any good, it is due only to their counsel. Ask your heart, Maximilien, if you have to go on and show me a face so vicious.

How does your personality react to one of the two alternatives: “are you a lonely island” or “a piece of the whole”, through the assumed position of the soul and the challenges of existence?

A great man mentally associates his personality, experiences, every deed, every path chosen, every action, with a certain experience and a certain sense, in order to create a harmony between what he is and what he wants to be. Possessing additionally a certain innate capacity for spiritual receptivity, inheriting a gene of intelligence and mentality of his predecessors, such a man will never manifest himself as a wandering being who endures existential adventures, but rather, a model of virtue admired by everyone.

Leadership can emerge as a dominant feature of the spiritual man, in that it attaches importance to a deeper reality, hanging on its horizons of generating trust and credibility, the contours of a veritable alliance with predecessor models of thought and virtue.

The surface of a leader’s space of thought and action possesses that depth of the banal passer through this world, but also a perspective of the artist who organizes his painting according to the events that demand his conscience – the perception of adding to the dimension of a more refined identity. But also because the fullness of a belief in a higher force is the most appropriate form of considering yourself to be the source of an order you have not foreseen, but which favors you in one way or another.

Placing himself in a continuing position of his predecessors, in terms of overlapping spheres of appreciation of what is morally correct and what is wrong, such a man will be able to better represent the foundation of a value judgement and the foundation of deep convictions.

A good connoisseur of the signs of the world draws his origins from the knowledge of his predecessors, doing an examination of conscience before God in the way that he opens his horizons in the face of a reality that looks alien and adverse.

Being a lonely island is to remove yourself from the causal force of events that are of major importance to your evolution, by the fact that the image of the world from which you originate is at the disposal of a consciousness beyond time and space, of a consciousness that engages in creating the reality you want.

Reality is what you think of yourself in a whirlwind of visions of other times that place you in a very realistic way in the midst of the present action, in an ingenious context of changing the course of events – a universal intelligence that continues its plan through knowledge transmitted from one generation to the next.

The man in which an almost superhuman serenity reigns lies, through excellence, in an area of external interference – in which the indications of potential polishing and guidance can be found. Your Ego may gain a superior identity over others only if you manage to be more than what you are in every moment in the cycle of life – when you have the opportunity to sincerely share your feelings and the longing for loved ones.

Being a part of the whole is to connect to a higher source of power so that your personality can be associated with the right to be of help to a world that continues to focus on the impact of the struggle between good and evil.

The most important requirements of the human soul are the claim to possess the wisdom of the elderly, the ability to walk in their footsteps, and the need to feed with the satisfaction of a fulfilled spiritual mission. Of course, nothing is harder to traverse than a journey suffocated by the nostalgia of that “unity in consciousness and feelings” that has been impressed upon us in our childhood, or by the nostalgia of a long-lost love, or by the nostalgia of the world before the original sin.

The leader is an emblem of his predecessors, enriched with boldness, dynamism and inspiration, with that moral quality that comes from the wisdom they left behind, shaping him into what he should be: a judge of facts and decisions, a mediator of the desire for change or an instance of modeling power on which others can rest upon.

The words of English poet John Donne will never wilt: "Not one man in this world is a lonely island. Each man is a part of the Continent, a piece of a whole." We all draw from others. And so too the way of being and the highest capacities of the mind and forethought are often transmitted spiritually.

To take into account of ability of embracing the spirit of those who lived, live and will live within you, is something profound, uplifting, which not only inspires you to action, but gets you closer to the stage of a superior man that benefits from the virtues with which he himself is in balance with.

Leadership is the quality of the man invested with a high spirituality to prove the existence of a universal intelligence, by providing an updated knowledge horizon on the perception between past and present, between good and evil.

The Spirits are the reliable friends who live within you, constantly watch over you, enhancing those qualities that give nobility to your life, and in the same time, broaden your sphere of impact and influence. What are those virtues that you have the possibility to perform with their help?

The power to rise above what you are, by assuming a vision of the world and by expanding the experience of using it through action, centering yourself into a profound and constant identity, finds its integration not only in a noble ideal. But above all, in broadening the horizons of knowledge and in deepening the relationships with those who have inspired you throughout life.
