Art must renounce ephemerality to offer eternal aspirations.
The sea opens its infinity in front of me, with a kind of calmness that makes art gain depth in a painting that captivates me and, at the same time, amplifies the feeling that I am sailing through the quiet depths of a contemplative heart. But what calls my being to its own artistic world, seen as a world of deep meanings, with openness to the inner spaces of the emotional, mental and soul, in which the dual reality of contrasts between appearance and essence operates, is that inextinguishable passion for creation which makes me unable to end a day until I have seen the sunset in a perspective where time seems to stand still.
The painter, subject to the intention of reconstructing what he sees, looks at things as a battle of reflexes, one against the other, capable of fragmenting the form to such an extent that, despite the effect of light and shadow, they seem like visual symbols. Open to outside influences, things can change in space without canceling each other out, thus participating in the colorful play of the atmosphere in which they are located. And from the depth of the landscape, continued endlessly in the light, in a perfect swing of shades, things should not create the illusion of distance, but appear absorbed in a single composition. He who forgets to listen to the sea, forgets himself, and he who does not always look longingly, cannot understand its depths. This reminds me of a story written by Carlos Ruiz Zafon, where a lot of people want to get their hands on a mysterious and unpredictable novel, but left completely forgotten in the "Graveyard of Forgotten Books". Some want to buy it paying more than it is worth, others are looking for it to burn it. In any case, "Shadow of the Wind" is a deep meditation on human destiny and its reflection in the work of art, between the perennial and the ephemeral.
Indeed, the sea, to which I always return, with its unique vistas full of vivid colors, explores deep themes such as destiny, heritage and the relationship between life and art, so that the representation of my image in the painting seems to constitute the portrait of a summer day at the seaside, where the breeze gently caresses the sand and the waves provide a pleasant feeling of relaxation and freedom. If Zafon's novel follows the fate of complex characters and how they are reflected and even preserved in books, a fact that represents a perennial art form, my painting seeks to immortalize the beauty of the moment and translate it on canvas, more original than ever, to be appreciated and preserved in another form of art, the visual one.

In the context of a painter on the coast, located directly in the seascape that represents him, while creating images of seascapes, he could find a multitude of parallels with the space of a new field of words, or with the space of a new way of existence. It's time to go back home, away from the sea, away from the seashore, away from the burning sun. In particular, I am aware of the ephemeral passage of time, perceived as a kind of symbolic death, a kind of withdrawal into nothingness of a great wandering from which you cannot get out without "Ariadne's thread".
The tides come and go, changing the natural picture every day. One day soon, I will return to the seaside and lose myself in the vast landscape of the sea, so that the painting captures our deep essence and reflects it in all its splendor.
