Two Important Chapters Of Leadership
Get closer to leadership, establishing a more accurate image of your profile as a seeker of the optimal point of operating: between limitation and expansion.
American film director D. W. Griffith confesses to Russian director Sergei Eisenstein: "Half of my films are scrap paper. I made them only so that I could get the money I needed to make something true to my heart… Films that I made only for myself, which never had any box office success… The first ones brought in piles of gold, the latter were only losses."
The confession continues. Griffith talks about his projects. He wants to do a film about the corruption born out of prohibition: "I’m looking for money. Nobody wants to fund such a theme."
Eisenstein painfully listens to the confessions of this veteran who is forced tact as a young rookie. He listens, he is terrified without yet knowing to what extent his fate will be get worse, here, in this fulminant world of films. *
Do you endure a suffering which is subjected to a path that is "worn out" the more you assume responsibility of benefiting from "discounts" in terms of expectancies?
There are no kings before the dominating sense of dedication. There are only slaves confirming themselves to a pre-existing corpus of beliefs about themselves, or complying with an orientation according to which liveliness is considered to be the most important driving qualities of man.
The self-correcting system in the area of transitioning to a new status, a more responsible one, and to a way of being which accepts losses, not only gains, is based upon a personal promotion effort of "I seek – I offer". That which you seek is directly proportional to the price of that which you offer.
This – in leadership (which demands a certain attitude, a certain mood in the face of that which is monumental to be accomplished) is associated mainly with a temporary variable, emotionally charged, such as: "Give the world the right to stop you ! "
When you continue to obey your circumstances, in the unrest of the exhausting efforts of surpassing yourself and rising to the level of an original creation, it will happen one day that you will hit the peak of your travels. In that moment, the glory of being a model in the spotlight will interfere with the glory of being alone.
Leadership is the joy of man continuously dedicating himself to a greater cause. It is the joy of man to rediscover himself through the ever more intense implication in the projects in which he believes in, even when he is at the peak of his journey.
The stage of completion of a project of grand proportions, shattering the walls of blind subjective and objective determinations, psychological and social, helps you separate that which is essential in the course you’re following, from that which is non-essential. Thus you will be able to obtain a more precise image of your profile as a seeker of an optimal point of functioning: between limitation and expansion.
Who can bear a suffering that is subjected to a course that "wears out" the more it assumes the possibility of benefiting from "discounts" at a level of expectancies, gets closer to leadership through the fact that he trusts his capacity of perpetuating his quality of being greater than the rest: the power to help himself.
The first important chapter of leadership that you must take into account refers to the union between faith and desire, in the continuous efforts of surpassing yourself, even when the world ceases to "finance" you.
The second important chapter of leadership brings to the fore the reality to which you relate to in the conditions of incertitude of the will of accomplishing your own ideals, but distorted by the process of expansion of the area in which you fit in.
