What is a Manager and what role does he have in a Company?
The manager is for a company what a conductor is for an orchestra.
The other day, I watched a concert of symphonic music, on the well-known channel Mezzo. Looking at the conductor and the instrumentalists, I've noticed a very interesting thing which, at that moment, I couldn't explain. Each instrumentalist had in front of him a score, not lifting his eyes from it. So, what’s the sense of the conductor in all this affair, if nobody in that orchestra looked at him?
A quick search on Google enlightened me. The conductor is "the man with the wand" and his contribution to the quality of a music interpretation represents more than 80%. His role is to maintain the rhythm until the end of the concert, to coordinate and harmonize all the instruments permanently, so that each of them to be integrated in the score, and of course, he has to interfere in case the composer's indications are not respected.
Moreover, the conductor is the one who chooses the musicians who will play in a concert because he is the only one who can observe the interpretative skills and the qualities of each person. I also have to mention that the training of a conductor it's special than the rest of the musicians – it is imperative for him to know from head to toe all the score, the tempo, the interventions of the instrumentalists, and also he should know at least three instruments to perfection. Without a conductor to coordinate in a professional manner, the musicians and the musical instruments, there could not be a concert.
In your case, has the state of acceptance of the value resulting from combining resonance with accuracy, associated with the means of expression of the concept called "Expressive Valence" been defined?
Now here's the big question. What is a manager and what is his role in a company?
A reader asked me this question in an e-mail a few days ago. My answer is this: The manager is for a company what a conductor is for an orchestra. The manager is the person who coordinates a company; the one who strives to bring it to a high level and to make it work perfectly. It's quite obvious that the big credit for the success of the company belongs by far to the manager because he chose his team; he organized it and guided it as good as possible by the proposed goals.
To some extent, we can assign to a manager a distinct identity that others do not know, which is absolutely necessary to implement unique and innovative functionality, feature not imposed by anyone, which conditions the acquisition of a particular performance that is to be verified in the experience gained in relation to what others claim.
The balance between conception and expression is achieved through a vision that intensifies authenticity through resonance.
In the organizational configuration of management there is a transaction between the form of the creative faculty and the background of success in the application of a vision that captures new elements of approach to the "score". This transaction is manifested between what happens on stage, in resonance with the thoughts and conceptions of the maestro, and what the music he conducts expresses.
"Expressive Valence" designates this suggestive harmony, with a strong address of emotions expressed on several planes, at all levels: life, perception and reality, which guarantees fascination and at the same time provides a good environment, forming the essence of a phenomenon in deployment called "Music" – something which makes its presence felt by sounds, but which does not depend on sounds, but on values and vibrations. Something which does not change overnight, but slowly evolves towards its own mode of expression: judgmental, abundant and convincing.
Accuracy is a measure of the correctness of the results obtained by evaluating what you are trying to convey through the specific means of expression – contrast, rhythm, harmony, proportion, balance, etc. While resonance is the result of bringing them together, a process that intensifies the final shade of authenticity. Remember: the essence of music does not reside in the sound produced, but in the vibration of values that survive after the sound has ceased.
Does the form of artistic expression you approach pass over the other side of personal experience, leaving room for a collective resonance?
The manager has the role of "conductor" and the people he leads are the "orchestra".
A manager doesn't become remarkable if he tries hard to make a better job. What makes him unique and worthy to admire is the fact that he takes care of each problem, and he interferes as many times is needed for taking a decision.
Even though at first we think that he stays on the edge and others do the hard work, actually he leads the entire "show". The manager always has the last word, but must be able to motivate emotionally the people that he has in front of him, and must relax the atmosphere and to do so by sending people a pleasant feeling, a certain experience that would make them effective in what they do and to perform properly the duties.
Authenticity is not an innate trait, but the result of perfect resonance between the conceived vision and the force of its expression.
Most often, the ideal of a manager is to succeed to be a master at least in one domain, to master the magic of a single branch of activity. For that, he must improve himself every day, to establish more and more ambitious targets (but in the same time as more realistic), so that the company he leads will come to occupy a leading position in the market. And one of his most important tasks is to discover the problems as they arise and to solve them before they turn into a crisis.
A very good manager does not leave anything to chance. He examines in depth each sector of activity and each negative situation from the right perspective. When something goes wrong, he implements plan B that it is always at hand. Regardless of the severity of the problems faced, he never stops looking for solutions. And despite the many ups and downs, he continues to insist until he reaches all his aims. And with perseverance, ingenuity and ambition, he will become unstoppable.
What is a manager? What indicate the music that you conduct?
The liveliness of your "music" springs from what people are able to capture in everything you communicate. It results from the novelty effect you produce in the context of the performance of simultaneously presenting many "tempos".
