Learn to boldly believe in the depths from which an unpredictable greatness can spring.
To figure out what’s going on in my mind, first you need to understand what’s going on in my soul and experience the same story. If you are not familiar with such subtle and total silence that you feel your breathing, then try to get into my office, like in a closed house, allowing yourselves to be embraced by that lack of inspiration, deathly desperation, a troubled judgment, as an alternative to a dark world that slowly makes room for another, so different and not always better.
My name probably does not say anything to you, Walter Elias Disney, because I just came back from New York and got only 40 dollars in my pocket. Increasingly, I need spiritual points to help me not get swallowed by the most painful miscarriage, the saddest abandon in a labyrinth of vanity where the only marks are self-forgetting and the others, followed in the end of supreme sacrifice.
Will I die here in this space full of static electricity, full of promises and dreams that do not gain shape, in this absolute vacuum, immense, immeasurable place, rendered in a color without specific qualities?
It would seem that I am trying to draw out, with lightning, a beginning of inspiration, a word, a single one, oppressive, grave, distant, indispensable. An unbreakable, unmanaged line. But I am connected to a kind of hidden weight under a huge shadow of doubt, a dizzying uncertainty springing from a modesty, a rusty anchor caught by a black rope in the underground of an uninteresting and inert world.
Leadership: Can you initiate a selection in the bankruptcy phase of your life returning the TRUE value in case of a change in the context in which the coordinates of a new "height" are located?
Certainly, my attitude is that of the painter who seeks his vocation and determination in fully anonymity, forgetting the disillusionment suffered, in an attempt to suggest that art is based on an act of penetration beyond the visible reality, into a space of ideas worthy to be spread. But with what?
Nothingness is first a void of life, then a state of confusion, culminating in temporary loss of self in the moments in which we were inhabited by the penetrating power of the muse. A kind of deep root, lost in the zone of the ineffable. And the pain of being humiliated, betrayed, helpless in front of this execution platoon called despondency, is lost in an incomplete and unclear sense, in an impossible to foresee.
The vision no longer focuses on something palpable before it is drawn upon a drawing sheet, but, like the old school books, it is moving toward exhortation to calm waiting. And nothing else.
The gap of space, the most terrible enemy of the artist, that intimate universe where nothing seems to be happening, can be filled only by a trick of faith that we find as a high intensity stimulus in Paul Gauguin’s letter from 1888 addressed to Émile Schuffenecker: "Art is an abstraction – extract it from nature while you dream it and think more about the act of creation than the result. This is the only way to lift yourself to the heights and do what our divine master does: create."
Leadership: Does your vision and artistic calling put you in the situation of a new form of expression whose footprint is found in the image that you create from the fidelity to what’s happening right around you?
And suddenly, in this little space, in this gray air that causes me to fear the very mask of my life and the nature of my thinking power, there is a small attraction, a little chance to save my mind, a flame of hope, a small image of my entire sensual soul, a cheerful toy, a rich source of inspiration – a very cheap, lively, intriguing and bewildering body at the same time.
The tiny and sly character, but with serious nuances, a symbol of home and prosperity, seems to seek in a thrilling game of logic the answer to a single question: Where can I find the cheese without going into a trap?
You can be my lucky star tonight ! At last a light in the darkness of a confused world, a gentle spark beyond a comic mask, in a world beyond the phenomenological world. An alternative to a world in the balance, a mutation in the genes that control the synthesis of fantasy, a space of a providential imaginary construction, all are fabricated in a single mold, transposed into one character. Mickey Mouse. A system of motivation patented by a unique thinking through the sensitivity that emanates from a soul to which you attach definitively and irrevocably.
"In the midst of trouble and confusion, there was a small, cheerful and crooked figure. Vague and undefined at first. But he grew and grew, and finally he turned into a frisky, exuberant little mouse. The idea grabbed me fully."
Leadership: Do you always take into account the degree of tolerance and the way you express your affection towards a "casual" factor that fills its eternity with multiple artistic, symbolic and providential correspondences?
From the first moment the key is reached. I feel shoved and crowded in a space between two breaths of the illusion of life, as if I were looking for words and gestures already lived and ripe, but who hesitate to show in a certain light, from the humility of being overtaken by the qualities of an exceptional, fairy tale character.
It is about a fighter for freedom of expression, accidentally decided at the core of the composition, in which the shape and color must pulse. But especially the story. The great witchcraft in art is to put yourself in the place of your character to create a new model of humanist approach, a new model of poeticism.
That "touch" of the artist is vital not only in the work he conceives through suffering and loneliness, color or words, but especially in the consciousness of the realization of the durability of a concept, a symbol, a personal Brand. It captures the vision of a psychologist who touches the most hidden edge of the portrait: a life, an ideal, a legend. But especially the refined sensitivity of a painter who, from several lines of pencil, first outlines a portrait, then the captivating evolution of a character transformed from an artificial situation into a real existence.
A deep and mysterious solidarity seems to promise me a fabulous destiny, detached from such a beautiful dream that I would like to fall asleep and keep it going, just as the events unfold in a well-directed Oscar film. Thus, I begin to find myself in a motto of the world that claims to be governed by a small eternity, a little divine intervention in the soul of an artist who seemed to never find his inspiration. But I had to be on my own to get to experience my legend.
From the magnificent spiritual laboratory of the artist where new forms of expression are born, a tremendous part is allocated to the memory of a loved one who amazes by the simplicity that makes it accessible to the world.
And the other side, guided by the divine light to an intense mystical experience in which the dream becomes reality, has as a single constant the change that gives meaning to life, expressed by the following formula that slips only through the world of ideas and creativity, from which the artist makes his spark debut in the pantheon of glory:
"The flower that blossoms in harsh conditions is the richest and most beautiful of all ! "
You Can Be My Lucky Star Tonight highlights the luck of only those who have come to the conclusion that any idea is good only if you go all the way. As far as creativity is concerned, everything starts from nothing, better yet, out of frustration, but it turns into a diamond in the long run if you look at the whole heart and look in the right direction.
"An important part of me remained a child because I had the courage to dream." (Walt Disney)
