Create A Competent Team

Exceed the limiting barriers of your knowledge of leading, releasing your great potential to be "durable".
He succeeded to bring the company on a top position because he chose the right team.
Since George M. he was named general manager he wanted to create a team that is capable to obtain good results and to contribute at the development of the company. So, the team consisted of a accountant, a jurist, an economist, an engineer, a programmer, a technician, a layer and a very good sales agent. One day he convoke everybody at a discussion and after he outlined the objectives, he told them:
- With certainty we will confront problems, we will have a lot of difficulties because of the crisis, and I won't be able to do everything by myself. Even if I have a practical experience of 8 years in leading, there are still things I don't know or at which I am not good enough. This is why I chose you, experts in different domains of activity, to complete one another.
Leadership: Being in a position that allows for a new configuration of your preference for collective action, does it hurt your ability to make far too exaggerated claims to what you are not able to appreciate at the right value?
Forming a team from different people, with abilities, talents and practical knowledge is an excellent method which proved its efficiency many times. A lot of companies have developed starting from an idea that two or more people with different abilities put it in practice. The only thing that put them together was the common aim, the wish of overreaching their own limits, of obtaining performances and professional satisfactions and of affirming.
You and your team are like two runners before the start of a long race. You have so many things to put in place that everyone must become accustomed to the pace of each other.
Just as a runner so that to become efficient, must run a lot before reaching to overcome the state of normality - so do you, together with your team, must overcome the limiting habits of the perceptions about the way, in which you have to synchronize your pace of development, by releasing your great potential to be "durable" that is to produce a large amount of value to the company for an unlimited period.
You can, at any point, damage your ability to advance far too exaggerated claims to what you are not able to appreciate at the right value, when people who follow you in the direction of impulse to unity can no longer resist doing a job that does not give a character durable to their desire to live in the name of a high ideal called "freedom". Such as freedom of speech or freedom of conscience.
Leadership: Does your intention to unite many different mentalities into one thing, open the way to a new perspective of understanding man in a context of mutual accountability that confirms the interest in promoting a new revolutionary concept?
A particular feature was highlighted as the most valuable in a leader: his ability to form a team. However, just as the blood clots can cause fever and even death, so the mistakes in choosing team members can trigger a wide range of "infections" that result in the appearance of breaches in the immune system of the company.
You could never reach a superior level if you try to do everything by yourself or if you have a team with uninstructed people, that have a lack of passion and act chaotic. Therefore if you want to go well it is necessary to create a functional and dynamic team, who can have results in the company you lead.
The members of your team can offer you suggestions on how the strategy of the company can be improved or modified in crisis situations, they can propose solutions for solving the problems, suggestions which you can accept or not. But one thing is certain: if those from your team are specialized in only one domain of activity they are limited in many ways, especially in finding solutions in difficult situations.
People with the same kind of thinking, with the same views and that has the same limitations, are more likely to be awkward along their careers. Therefore, in a team, people with different mentalities are preferable, and each one can account for the work of others. At least that is how I see an ideal of synergy.
A revolutionary concept promoted by teamwork must be a continuity between the objectivity with which the leader analyzes people’s performance to reproduce exactly his thinking and the subjectivity with which each one sees the decisions he takes before and after the hope of reaching a certain goal.
The success of a company is not only because of the fact that the manager has a team that is young, qualified, loyal and capable to sustain him every time he needs. The success is due to the manner in which he and his team succeed to solve fast and competent the problems. If people have different knowledge and abilities they sure have different opinions and so they have a lot more chances to find good ideas and efficient solutions. It's important that they see the problem in a different manner, from different angles.
The physicist Oliver Wendell Holmes wrote: "Many ideas develop better when they are transferred in another mind, than in the one that came from. What seems the shadow of the night in a mind turns into morning glory in another mind."
If people have different abilities they find more possibilities to solve the problems. Each person can suggest ideas that others have missed, and for a person may seem a motif of worry for the other may seem a huge opportunity.
Exceed the limiting barriers of your knowledge of leading, releasing your great potential to be "durable".You can be durable in business only if you form a competent team.
